BioShock Infinite images catch fleeting glimpses of Columbia
51
Irrational Games has let loose several BioShock Infinite screenshots. Each one depicts an unsettling scene: a gun-toting news vendor, a candid shot of the dark-eyed Elizabeth, and some nut conducting an orchestra for the clouds. In fact, that conductor fellow kinda looks like Andrew Ryan, but considering this game takes place in 1912, it can't be him -- unless they had Oil of Olay Age Defying cream back then or something, but we seriously doubt that.

when's this game being released? i cannot wait.
i don't care what the majority of nitpickers say, i had a blast with bioshock 2, but it's good that the series is back in the hands of its creator.

Because when 1 was released at was a bit of a different gem. 2 came out and it was the exact same thing, but you walked slower... I'm trying to play through it right now and I can assure you, it feels like more of a chore then the last part of BS1 did.

The conductor is Andrew Ryan's father. There I called it lol.

I don't necessarily think he has anything to do with Andrew Ryan, but there's no reason to assume it can't be the man himself. In a universe where injecting random plasmids found lying around can give one the ability to shoot fire and ice from his hands, is it really that much of a stretch to imagine a youth-preserving plasmid?
It would be cool if there was a tie-in; but, preferably a minor plot point thrown in for the fans and not a big focus of the game.

Looks like a seemingly idyllic city in an implausible location where something has gone very, very wrong.
Yep, it's Bioshock.
In the SKY.

I laughed.
Just wait for his next flying city. Its definitely going to deliver on all of the promises of the first, with 100% more farting.

I wonder who's going have to clean up the mess Columbia will make when it eventually falls from the sky.

I think the most exciting thing about this is that there are still other normal humans in the city.

One thing I've noticed in games lately is that female character models are starting to look a little... strange. That third screenshot is a good example of this when compared to the completely normal looking men in the other two. If you want further proof of this, check out the Mafia 2 demo and compare the male and female models. It will make you adjust your monocle in disbelief.

I'm glad that even though the game has bright environments, it has a dark disturbed feel to it. Can't wait.

During BS1, I wished I had a chance to play when Rapture was at it's finest. It would be nice to have a game where you play a short part of it while everything is cool and get to see the splendor before the shit hits the fan and you start shooting people.
What do I know, I'm just a bike.
