New Okamiden video paints a pretty picture
10
We're gobbling up this new Okamiden video from Gamescom, but not learning a whole lot more than we already knew. Visuals: Still adorable. Dialog: Still sounds like you force fed a schizophrenic person psychotropic mushrooms and managed to record the sound of their nightmares. Us: Still in love.

This just looks like soooo much fun. Everything I love about the original AND a cute factor of 10/10? Oh, and on the DS as well? *floored*

I want an HD port of the original Okami. That game would be perfect for Move.

I'm really excited for this, but I just know it's going to get lost due to the 3DS. :-/

wish it wouldn't take so long to release this game in the US.
i think the 3DS will already be out before this game is.

The graphics look amazing for a DS. The main hope with this game is that if it succeeds, then we get an amazing looking 3DS Okami or Okami on a home console (Nintendo owned please as I'd rather not have to get two consoles for Mario/Zelda/Metroid and Okami.
This is an amazing game. Okami deserves to become a series with a history as illustrious as Zelda.

I'm concerned about the action & audio pausing abruptly to drop the top screen down to the bottom (for the stylus to work) then pulled back up top. It's jarring. Maybe they'll smooth it out some by release.

I'm disliking how the sound cuts out when you start to paint before being replaced by the painting music, which then cuts out again after you're done painting. I hope they get that fixed by launch. Other than that, looking goooood.
