That's not a bad idea, Ezio.
I think a touchscreen FPS could hurt the franchise, but an RTS would be dope.

Why is ilimilo listed as a Microsoft Game Studios title? That doesn't make any sense to me? Or are they the publishers?

A Halo game could be made for the phones I just think the largest thing preventing it is controls. When someone finally figures a mass appeal peripheral to attach to the phones that could provide those controls then I think we'll see the game on them...

They did a great job of choosing games with a more 'chunky' art style to show off their new phone OS.

WM7 is looking mighty badass but I really don't like the user interface they went with. I'm sure it's intuitive once you get the hang of it, but just looking at it really hurts my eyes. Everything looks like it's too big for the screen!

Maybe I'm just used to the more simplified look of Android and iOS. Either way I'm excited to see a major push for gaming on smartphones. HOPEFULLY this means we'll see a PSPhone or (please god) a 3DS Phone.

The user interface for Win 7 mobile is extremely similar to that of the Zune HD. I thought it would be kind of strange to use before I got one, but once I used it, I started loving it. It's extremely smooth and easy to navigate and I'm 100% satisfied with it.

Give me Full ports of:
Castle Crashers
DeathSpank

And I'll be happy.
But really, what I hate about this whole New generation of "smartphones" and their "apps" (read: games), is that (I'm thinking iPhone here) all the kids want an iPhone from their parents because it's just a way to game 24/7 and parents buy it because they think its main function will be a phone.

It's good to have some nice ways to entertain yourself, and Xbox integration makes a lot of sense, but I think that the whole App Market Place / Gaming should not be the main features of a PHONE. Consider me old-fashioned (although I'm merely 18-19) but I think the touchscreen is a gimmick, and my perfect phone would me nokia E71 with a touchscreen (to press buttons and for browsing). Having said that, Dell Lightning Day one purchase! (unless I can get a 1.5Ghz WinMo7 model, preferably with a metal frame)

I agree, and while the integration is really deep, it doesn't forget that you are on a phone.

Microsoft has other things going for it as well, like Zune and Office integration.

I like it how they have integrated Zune into WinMo7 so that Europe and other countries can finally experience that great UI, but it's not important for me. Phone DAC and OPAMPs are usually of low(er) quality. And I've got a Zune 120 and Zune HD 32 (ironically bought it like a week before the 64Gb announcement), oh and I live in Europe (imported them) :).

Strictly speaking, 18. But considering the nearness of me *shrug* birthday, you could say almost 19.

Was using my age to illustrate my point.

"Windows Phone 7 will support Mac OS "in some way" and you'll be able to sideload content onto the device -- everything will pretty much be done through Zune"

I think this is the first I've heard of these features being confirmed.. Speculation has been that WP7 wouldn't have those at launch. Very interesting.

The way MS handled Zune has been a little weird since day one. Although how many Mac owners weren't already locked into iTunes and an iPod (mentally at least)

Did MS even bother releasing the hardware outside of the US? At least the launch countries for WP7 are getting the excellent Zune software.

@ungeheier Do you mean games you already bought on Xbox live or do you mean games you bought on another phone, because if you already bought games on another phone you can just take the simcard out and use your old phone for its games and music in addition to this phone if that makes any sense.

And theyre going to be expanding the territories in which Zune Passes can be bought, so the media player may come too.

I would bet money on video kinect support in the near future for phones with front cameras (and hopefully, the zune hd2). It just makes too much sense and with the fuss apple's made over facetime it would be a big deal.

Also, there should be additional games they're not revealing yet but maybe closer to launch.

XNA makes it rediculously easy to develop for Win 7 phone. The problem is I don't see a lot of people paying the extra $100 a year just to get in the market. Microsoft could at the very least make it a single license for XBox and Win7

@The Pie Piper isn't this proof enough full on xbox live integration? The zune had about a total of ten apps probably 7 of those were games, I think there's a huge difference. These are just guaranteed titles from microsoft at launch, they're planning more, and developers are making tons. Go to youtube look up windows phone 7, so many developers have posted videos of their games
