Elsewhere, in the list of features actually available on the disc itself, wrestling fans will find a WWE Universe mode, an updated Road to Wrestlemania feature, more than 70 different WWE personalities and a custom character creator, plus the usual roundup of punches, kicks and sweaty holds in more than 100 different match types. Check them all out in a trailer after the break -- no in-the-box redeem code necessary.
New copies of WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 include free online pass, DLC

THQ has announced that WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011 will not only come with multiple covers, but a devastating clothesline to used game buyers. The manual will include a code that can be redeemed for "online access and the game's first DLC package," with Chris Masters as a playable character and Halloween-style costumes for Rey Mysterio and Kelly Kelly. Those who buy the game used (presumably without the code) will need to buy the DLC for 800 MS points, or $9.99 on PSN. "Project Ten Dollar"? Isn't that the new TLC match team?

I will be first in line to buy this game.

@SSmaster Me too, but I hope it improves upon last year without taking things away that I like. They seem to always remove a feature I love with each iteration. For example, I loved the Create-a-belt feature and they took it away with no explanation. I also liked having thousands of patterns to choose from for my wrestler's attire and those were dumbed down to maybe 10.

people play those games online? Last time I tried it was full of lag and everyone used custom characters with unblockable moves

Congratulations to Chris Masters: You've gone from jobber to DLC incentive!

@Noise Tank
lol Good joke.
Out of all the characters (things they could include/etc...) they make Chris Masters the DLC incentive.

You know Ubisoft will. Then Activision will take it a step further and only include a trial online pass that works for 30 days, and everyone who bought it used and new will have to pay $15 for an annual pass.

you prob joke about it, but it seems very Activison like of them to do something like that... especially with a game like COD

The avatar items are out for the game :)
And you'd think that the DLC wrestler would be someone decent. Like Austin was a preorder bonus last year.

i wanna play SVR 2010 and i recently saw it for $29.99 but i'm no where near a big wrestling fan now as i was younger. only interested in it for Trophies.

@HardBoiled2009 I rented it for the achievements and got all of them in 3-4 days with a few hours of playing each day. If you aren't planning on playing it extensively after getting the trophies that would be your best way to play it.

I have to thank these companies for helping me to make my decision to not renew my XBL subscription. I like to rent vs buy these days and no online really isn't a big deal.
I am surprised that MS doesn't give more input on this process as it has to be impacting their bottom line for XBL subscriptions.

don't really buy used games (got a terribly scratched ACII so since then its a no go), so as usual it will be the roster that makes or breaks it for me. please include more than 2 legends this time around. And keep batista and shawn micheals even though they're out of WWE...for now.

It's been 10 years since WWF No Mercy on the N64. I wonder if I should finally get around to a new wrestling game. I'm not a massive fan but watch some pay per views online. The problem with wrestling games is that they never seem to do a good sell. The camera angles are always too far away or too high to get a sense of danger (I know wrestling is fake, bare with me here) and in wrestling games characters always feel like they are less 'hurt' than in real life where each move is sold better.

Another game off my buy list. Pretty soon there won't be any complete sports games left for me to purchase. Once these online passes start hitting real games I'm gonna need a new hobby.

I will be waiting to pre order. The 2 things i want in SVR 2011 the most is a story designer mode (like SVR 2010) and them to put all members of the Nexus in.
The 2nd one i am not to worried about as they've been on TV for 3 or 4 months and WWE is spending time to put chris masters in which i am really dissapointed. WWE has dozens of more popular wrestlers they could of put in.

I haven't played a wrestling game since AKI on N64 days. Am I living in the past? Probably. Has any wrestling game since matched the quality of that engine/animation? No. Definitely not.
Still not interested and probably never will be.
