Video: Digital artist gets some face time with THQ's uDraw

We saw some of the gaming applications of THQ's uDraw Wii peripheral earlier this week -- but how well will the tablet function as an actual virtual drawing tool? Prolific iPad illustrator David Kassan recently tried his hand at uDrawing, the results of which can be found in the video posted below.

Why can't this come out for PS3 and 360, too?
HD folks like to draw, too!

@ItsameMatt03 Similarly, you can draw a photoshop like image on your tablet now using that amazing pressure sensitive sketch app. http://minyurl.org/f1m

Insane stuff there! I would consider buying something like this if the program alsow would have some kind of teaching program on learning to draw.
Becaus let's face it...most of us would give up realy fast without someone or something (the "game") learning us how...

@Lerkero - It's not so cool unless it is equivalent to or less than the price of the last gen Wacom tablets without the tilt functionality, and without the higher sensitivity. Unless it has those things of course.

as great as the final outcome looks, i still don't think this is nearly as precise or customizable as a standard wacom tablet. without a proper means of even exporting my paintings, what's the point of buying uDraw?

It's not Photoshop, much less Mario Paint. Still, a large stride for consoles. Keep in mind that not everyone can afford Photoshop (no comments about torrents). Perhaps developers will find more use out of it than just drawing pictures.
Maybe like designing your own decals for a racing game or planning out a play on Madden or some other football Wii game. Hell, I'd like to play Drawn to Life with it. We'll just see what people will do with it.
