Great charity work.

Sort of makes me miss the Mario Marathon guys though. That was an epic 4 or 5 days.

For some reason, Altair reminds me of Mac from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (For those of you who haven't seen it, you should. Best show ever)

I haven't played Assassin's Creed, but I just looked up some pics of Altair and you're right. Of course, to truly embody Mac, he should cut those sleeves off to show off his guns.

@Faenix

Actually, they're doing a bunch of PoP games, including those. They're doing AC II as well.

@Faenix You forgot the 2008 game. That was a terrific installment, agreed?

@Shadowbender

2008 version was the only 3D PoP after Sands of Time that was worth a damn.

Article made it seem just like AC 1 and 2, and Forgotten sands. o.O

@Shadowbender
That game was awesome, I am waiting for the sequel.. stupid end. Lol

@Anticrawl
I enjoyed Warrior within and Two Thrones, not played Forgotten Sands (Battle system looks kinda meh for a PoP game :/)

I don't understand how this raises money. I mean, like, where is the money coming from?

Yes fellow bear, I'm in the same boat. I don't get how them sitting in their gross rooms playing games for days straight = money raised. And how we all have to praise them every time they have a game marathon. If I could somehow get people to donate the more time I play games, I'd damn well be on board.

@Bearcut

man, public schools must be worse than they say... the concept is simple, polite people give them money even though they don't have to (amazing!) in order to help a great cause (saving teh earth)

i hope every oil covered animal in the gulf comes to your "gross room" and peck / claw / turtle kicks your face in

@Shadowbender most of these events are used to promote awareness to X disaster. So it can be whatever means to gather or 'entertain' the crowd to get the people involved and donate. Anything from video games to champagne parties, are used. Sometimes they charge a fee (like an entry fee, or anything along the lines) which will later then be used to help victims etc Im not totally sure how this one is. Although I am glad they're doing it cause it really is a sad tragic down there. They really need all the help they can get. I wonder if they have a donation account or something like they did for Haiti.I remember Joystiq promoted the help needed for them as well.I would definitely help anyway i could.

I love how being anonymous brings out the worst in people. I for one wouldn't donate CRAP TO SOMEONE SITTING IN THEIR DAMN ROOM regardless of what cause they said it was going towards. Nah son. Nah.

Public schools my ass.

If they really wanted to help they can get their asses down here and pick up a sponge.

Am I the only one who, at first glance, assumed they were doing it for the Persian Gulf?
