Dead Nation beta invites being sent; check your e-mail!

And just like that, SCEA has begun sending out invites for a Dead Nation beta. We're not entirely sure what online functionality the beta is testing, especially considering the rather lax requirements for the program -- "All you need to do is make sure you are signed in to the PSN while trying to kill as many dirt-ridden flesh sacks as possible!"

The beta is currently ongoing, and will end on September 3, giving invitees over a week of playtime. The invites appear to have been sent randomly, so check your e-mail (and your spam filters) to see if Sony has invited you into this unexpected preview event.

I believe shit like this is why I paid $50 for PSN+ SONY. I'll be expecting my invite by days end....

Well at least I do have Critter Munchers and Ford Rally Racing to keep me warm at night.....

I dont expect betas from multi platform games, But a PS3 exclusive should be instant PS+ material!

This is such a bad service, Im not renewing!

No invite here... My PS+ subscription is really starting to pay off. I'm not bitter, btw.

I'm a plus user and I got my invitation apparently at midnight last night. So if it hasnt came yet then you probably won't get one.

Had my invite waiting in my inbox this morning! Seriously its a great game. I love that it uses a dual stick shooter control scheme, but intstead of being stuck on one screen you're actually moving through areas to make up a level.

It's hard to describe but really fun so far.

E-mail most of been dead before they sent it to my inbox cus its not there.

Are they just sending this out at random to people who have a PSN account? Or does it require PS+? I'm so terribly confused ...

So far it looks like PS+ users only.

I didn't get one, and I am definitely PS+ user. Not gonna get upset if I don't. This is not something they have guaranteed to me when I signed up.

It's random. It isn't exclusive to Plus. If you've got an account, you have a chance to get it.

I would imagine that the plot is something along the lines of "OMGZZ zombies are taking over [the country]! Help!" So that is why your Country needs you... to kill the zombies and stop them from taking over.

i got my beta invite at midnight last night i have PS+

My PS+ subscription is really starting to pay off indeed. I haven't gotten squat shit yet.

No invite for me yet, and i'm a ps+ member. Kinda pissing me off as beta access was one of the main reasons I subscribed.

Well i didn't get mine and i am a PS+ subscriber. BS. if they don't shape up the PS+ i will not be re-upping when it expires.

Got mine today at 7AM, PS+ suscriber too. However it may not be exclusive for PS+ users since it doesn't states that i got it as part of being a PS+ suscriber.

Of course, if you're not in the vaunted 18-25 demographic, good luck on getting one of these randomly in the e-mail.

I've been very extremely unfortunate even though I'm probably one of Sony's most ardent supporters...they should give me a goddamn honorary PSN trophy for the amount of money I spend on ps3 games.

Only betas I've ever gotten are the ones via pre-order of games through the much-despised Gamestop.

I sent this in last night too around 1am mst. I'm a PSN+ user. My friend also got an invite and he is a PSN+ user too

I have been a beta tester for quite a few games, and I know that they never let everyone in on the first day. The fact that Europe got in two weeks or so ago shows that they are still letting people in. Also remember that Plus isn't a badge to hide behind and demand stuff, if you didn't get in during the(What I presume to be) second wave, then wait and see what happens.

Why would i not demand something that was promised to be included in our subscription? Offering the beta to PS+ users would have been a perfect opportunity for Sony to earn some much needed cool points to those of us that are starting to regret out PS+ subscription.

@Razorhog While I'm happy that I got a beta invite despite not being a subscriber, I agree. PS+ people should get precedent for these codes.
