This is tempting for me. I'd been kind of hoping for a Wii price drop near the end of summer (not that it's doing badly, but sales have been dropping lately), and this is really the same price only with the option to opt out of the Resort stuff, but this is at least easier on the wallet.

The question for me is whether or not Sports Resort is worth getting, when the Motion Plus is available by itself for under $20. Is the game by itself worth over $30?

(Also, why the hell hasn't the "Legacy" version been at this price the whole time? This is less a sale and more the proper rate)

The game gets boring quickly. Not for the hardcore gamers among us.

Incidentally, did anyone notice that Kinect costs as much as a real Wii?

Did anyone notice that Sony's third-party Wii controllers cost more than Nintendo's first-party ones? What do you mean those aren't Wiimote knock-offs?

I'd disagree, Sports Resort has a lot going on, if you like a few modes. Between Swordsmanship, golf, frisbee golf, and airplane, i got a lot of legitimate playtime out of that. Archery could take a lot of time investment too, but i never quite mastered it.

The Showdown version in the Swords section is worth its money alone.

...they should make an entire game just based on Showdown (they have to keep the Miis though... and use the Wii's Miis, not the randomized ones).

Hopefully by bundling the Wii Motion Plus with the console itself, we will see more games supporting it. Really, I don't think I have any games that requires that other than the Wii Sports Resort itself.

Ya know Red Steel 2 was pretty good. Please don't refuse to get it just because the first one was "terrible" for you.
...I own it, don't regret it. It's at least a 7-8 range for ratings.

Best Buy has had the old Wii packages for $150 pretty much since the new ones came out... though by this point it'd be a matter of finding a store that actually has some left.

Uhm, Best Buy has had these for $150 ever since the new ones were first released.

So this is just a stock-clearing mode and not a proper new SKU? Makes sense, given that they're taking $50 worth of stuff out (e.g. Wii Sports Resort that comes with a motion plus) to knock $50 off the price, the whole idea was rather redundant.

I'd pick this up in a second, but sadly, unemployment is taking up most of my funds these days.
