Rockstar now selling Red Dead Redemption soundtrack CD, vinyl coming next month
25
Odds are that if you want it, you've already got the Red Dead Redemption soundtrack, given that it was included both with the Limited Edition of the game, and available on sale over at Amazon MP3. But just in case you prefer physical liner notes with your music, Rockstar now has the original soundtrack CD available in its online store, featuring all the tunes from the hugely popular virtual Wild West title.
The CD comes with almost twenty tracks of Red Dead music, along with a case full of original art and recording information, all for $9.99. But if you want the ultimate version of the soundtrack, you better hold your horses -- Rockstar says a "very limited red-vinyl LP release" is coming out next month. Real cowboys, we all know, don't do digital.

So being able to buy the music that's in the game is a good thing, when in PC games you can just get the music straight out of the music/sound folder?

That "luxury"? Luxury implies expensive. The same game for PCs cost $50, for consoles $60. And for PC you have the song on your computer, and for console you must buy the songs. So which one is really the "luxury" item?

Oh. I should've gotten this for the PC then. Wait...
I actually hardly listened to the soundtrack at all. This is one of the only ps3 games with a custom soundtrack. If I'm riding around as some manly cowboy, I want to listen to the manliest music there is: Tom Waits.
Mr. Siegal fit in nicely when I went drinking in the saloons.
I only wish I could've "spent all my money at a Mexican [road]house."

Spoiler Below if you haven't played it:
I think that when you finally cross the Rio Grande and are riding your horse to your south of the border safe house is probably the best musical moment in gaming history. I've never had a game make me feel awesome until I was riding to Far Away. SO BAD ASS!

If the music industry is any indication:
-No one will buy the CDs.
-Hipsters will purchase the vinyl
-Everyone will look for an MP3 rip.
