"These tears," the trailer posits. "Mankind's fated burden? A gods-decreed sacrifice?" Whoa, there, trailer! "Radiant glory? Or heinous oblivion?" We don't know how to answer that, trailer. The second one, we guess? We're not entirely sure what you're asking.
Final Fantasy XIV 'Answers' trailer asks some truly bizarre questions

Regardless of whether or not you're looking forward to Final Fantasy XIV, you really owe it to yourself to watch the new trailer posted after the jump. Not because it reveals the game's theme song ("Answers," as performed by pretty-voiced vocalist Susan Calloway), and not because it contains a few relatively rad cutscenes from the game, but because it features some of the most mind-blowingly insane writing to ever come out of the franchise. And that's saying something.

Well that was strange. I can tell that I don't want to hear that song again. Not sure about this game.

That cat chick was kinda hot... anyway it is looking good. The screens where they are just walking around look immersive and the combat looks more fast paced. Can't wait!

Doesn't she know that carrying flowers in a Final Fantasy is a death sentence?!

Typical outlandish Final Fantasy fare. Always love the obscure words and questions they throw in to these trailers.
As if anyone has any idea what they're talking about...

Seemed kind of like engrish to me instead of that being what they actually meant to say, but with those spoony bards over at SE you can never tell!

So I have to say..
Your comment that they look like whores seems oddly ironic, given your display picture. Classy. (;

I could decipher this easily, but like everything, it's much easier to point, laugh, and move on.
But I will say I instantly went from "barely giving a damn" to "holy christ, do want.

@Noksukow what restriction? Because you know, there's no hard cap.
Here's how it works:

Now, you can nerdrage all you want about having your illusory freedoms taken away, or you can realize that there's no hard limit, and the soft cap is easily avoidable.
"haters gonna hate".

Why aren't they just calling this Final Fantasy XI-2? They're even using all the same species/races. Tarutaru, Galka, Hume(?), Mithra. . .
They really need to stop including MMOs in the official numbered versions.
Final Fantasy Online 1 and 2 would have been perfectly fine names for FF11 and 14.

Is it just me, or has the writing in Final Fantasy games been getting more and more absurd over the last decade?
Oh well, this game is written by Masato Kato, so naturally I'll have my hopes unusually (and most likely unreasonably) high.

Conjurer I believe is what you're looking for. It bolsters both White and Black magic, but don't confuse it to what we know as a Red Mage. It harnesses both White and Black natively, so it's more like a WHM+BLM combo hybrid, rather than a jack-of-all-mage RDM.
and... there will be spoken dialogue in the game. Chances are you'll hear the pronunciations loud and clear :)

Anybody notice the judge from FFXII near the end of the trailer? Lol, I wonder if it'll have references from that world this time.
