StarCraft 2 patch 1.1 balances Zerg, Protoss, Terran and southpaws

Just one month after releasing its blockbuster RTS, Blizzard has announced a major upcoming patch for StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty. The update will open up left-hander-friendly hotkey options for all regions, will add some new mod and map editor functionality, will incorporate support for NVIDIA 3D Vision, and will make a whole slew of balance changes so mind-shatteringly esoteric that we wouldn't know how to begin describing them.

Terran definitely needed a little nerf. But if you were smart with the other races and didn't make mistakes and hoped your opponent made mistakes, you couldve beat them. lol.

No point building seige tanks now. Battlecruisers needed to be nerfed. Those things are just unstoppable towards the end of the game.

How about going after priority balance issues?
Like making Phoenixes actually worth a damn.
Seriously, an "anti-air" air unit that completely sucks against most aircraft. Makes no sense, especially considering void rays are unbelievably better in all regards.

You are most likely using the Phoenix wrong. Phoenixes w/ micro are easily better versus Mutalisks and Voidrays and are fairly effective against vikings too. Not to forget that they can pick up ground targets which could be used for picking up siege tanks or harassing the enemy economy.

eh i try to pick up tanks but no one is that stupid to leave them unguarded from air. usually side by side with a missile turret.

Ultralisk nerf is definitely unwarranted. They use the excuse that all other races are getting an late-game nerf, so Zerg need one too, but honestly, everyone knows that Ultralisks are weak as it is. The tank unit that can't tank.

Nerf Marauders!
Ultralisk nerf is also a partial buff since they now do splash damage on buildings (now it's possible to kill the SCVs gang-repairing a Planetary Fortress) but honestly they should have kept the damage the same.

Terran really needs some sort of Tier 1 nerf. As it is now, essentially all of Terran tier 1 counters all of Protoss tier 1. I always thought it was strange that Terran basically has no melee type units. It's incredibly easy to micro a ball of marines and/or marauders.
And Zealot build time increase? Really? They cite massing them or something, but that really only works against inexperienced players. Heck, a good Terran can completely kite Zealots with marines, and even a mediocre Terran can kite them with Marauders.

Terran was overpowered, they could just turtle in and starve the enemy economy.
