Become a Sports Champion with the 'Sports Victory' set for PlayStation Move
69
Kevin Butler and Subway aren't the only ones excited for the PlayStation Move. Peripheral companies, like Hyperkin, are getting ready to unleash a salvo of plastic accessories that "enhance" the motion gaming experience on PS3. Like the Wii, Move will be home to a number of absurd attachables, like the ones featured in the "Sports Victory Set" (pictured above). For $30, you'll be able to get a dagger, shield, bow and table tennis paddle, designed with Sports Champions in mind.
For $25, you'll be able to invest in Hyperkin's "Special Ops Shooter," which transforms your Move controller into (you guessed it!) a gun. Hopefully, it won't be long until companies like CTA Digital make some PS3-compatible inflatable karts.

@Shadsy Little off topic, but I call bull on 3D TVs. Used one at the local Sony store the other day, the glasses were terribly uncomfortable and didn't fit right over my glasses, and the 3D effect in-game was completely forgettable. Just having 3D won't always give you the same effect that, say, the camera following Toothless soaring in How To Train Your Dragon will. Certainly not worth shelling out a couple extra thousand dollars for a compatible display (price is complete guess, but I know it's still not in the affordable range for the vast majority of people).

@Billlop You do realize that things like that ping-pong peripheral will hinder the performance of the move since it won't be able to completely see the orb when turned the other way? and having played with the move multiple times at different events, I can honestly say that i ping-ponged both ways :D.

@McDuckScrooged Because those videos, or your comments, have anything to do with Move.
By more dynamic I think he means more accurate, as the Move's TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS are far more accurate than even Wii Motion Plus (and more versatile with the camera added in for tracking as well). With Wii Motion Plus, Nintendo is promoting 1 to 1 motion e.g. next Zelda. Except it really isn't truly, and Move has been proven better at it. And PS3 does HD, which means not only better visuals, but a larger in game engine area for your more accurate motions to be represented as calculated. There's a reason Move won Best of Gamescon (that reason is based on POTENTIAL though, not what is currently available).
That said, as a PS3 & Sony fan biased towards everything they make, I'd still say I'll wait till Move has been out like a year before even deciding if it's worth it or not. By next fall they need to have shown some impressive library titles and uses for it (and some A list titles that use it so well that I am compelled to want to play that way solely). They also need to see some better priced bundles. Right now, it's like 35-40 for the Camera, 50 for the Controller , 30 for the Nav controller (a Sixaxis or Dualshock 3 can do everything a Nav controller can though so it's not necessary, though it's preferred), or 100 for a bundle that includes a game but no nav controller... Considering some games are going to use two move controllers, specifically the most-impressive demos shown so far for the concept, thats 140$ entry point with no nav controller or games, 190 with the bundle + Nav Controller + extra Move controller. Ridiculous.
I may be a huge sony fan, but that doesn't mean I'm not a cheap consumer. I'm not throwing money at that thing till its reasonably priced and has real uses. I expect they can pull it off, but as of now it's really wait and see.

What game did you play in 3D? There is a huge difference playing Motorstorm in 3D vs 2D. Is the hefty price tag of a 3D TV worth it for most gamers? Probably not since a 3D TV right now isn't even affordable for most gamers. But I think for the people who can afford a 3D TV, it is certainly worth playing some 3D games. PS Move and 3D will make for a pretty cool combination.

@Billlop Actually all of those obstruct the orb from certain angles, which mean they'll make move less accurate

These are the latest other 3rd party gun attachments
http://cdn.mos.techradar.com//classifications/home-entertainment/gaming/consoles/controllers/images/move_PEACEMAKER%20Gun_04-728-75.jpg --> SpeedLink Peace Maker , kind of meh
and the 2 gun attachments here:
http://iwaggle.blogspot.com/2010/07/look-at-some-third-party-playstation.html
The catchy Marketing for these plastic accessories should be:
Got money to burn ? Look like a complete d1ck while holding a shitty plastic shield and shitty plastic sword coming this september !

@Indefinite Implosion The ray gun does look kind of cool, but it moves your hands towards the handle and gives you access to the trigger.. Great for on rail shooters but for games like socom , not so much your thumb is resting on a plastic handle with no easy access to the top buttons..

Actually, is true, you use them the other way, with the pink ball in front, since is what the camera detects, that´s the difference with Wii Motion Plus, motion plus, you can put the wiimote inside a plastic thing and is gonna still work....

This would totally block the sphere on the dagger and double bladed sword, which would REDUCE the accuracy!

@Burnflare That would be a valid comment if pom-pom attachments for Move weren't inevitable too. Just because it's Sony doesn't mean it's going to be treated with any more respect than peripheral makers have treated Wii.

@Vcize it changes colour, depends on your room and ambient lighting and then selects the best colour for your room.. They have decided to stick with the pink colour for whatever reason..

Wii accessories and Move accessories are why the facepalm was invented.
I'm surprised they don't market all of these plastic toys as also being compatible with Kinect since you could technically hold anything in your hand and it wouldn't make a lick of difference.
