Become a Sports Champion with the 'Sports Victory' set for PlayStation Move
69
Kevin Butler and Subway aren't the only ones excited for the PlayStation Move. Peripheral companies, like Hyperkin, are getting ready to unleash a salvo of plastic accessories that "enhance" the motion gaming experience on PS3. Like the Wii, Move will be home to a number of absurd attachables, like the ones featured in the "Sports Victory Set" (pictured above). For $30, you'll be able to get a dagger, shield, bow and table tennis paddle, designed with Sports Champions in mind.
For $25, you'll be able to invest in Hyperkin's "Special Ops Shooter," which transforms your Move controller into (you guessed it!) a gun. Hopefully, it won't be long until companies like CTA Digital make some PS3-compatible inflatable karts.

Oh god, not this crap again...I'm glad the PS3 is in no way close to the console shortages the Wii had, because most of the scalped consoles sold (that is to say, the ones bought out by second-hand sellers who drastically marked up the price) included horrible, pointless accessories like this.

These things may look stupid, but at least you don't need them to play. These people can make all the stupid accessories and stuff they want, I won't be buying them. I'll be perfectly happy with my PS3 Move bundle and a copy of LBP2 this fall. You haters can hate all you want, but I can fight my friends using the PS3's motion peripheral, and it's 1:1.
I love my 360 for online play, but Kinect isn't worth being put anywhere except for my garbage can at the moment. What's the point of a motion controller if you can only use it with a maximum of one other person and half of it's "games", I'm using the quotes there for ALL motion peripheral specific games because most of them are bogus and don't deserve to be called games, aren't anything except for matching an on screen position and watching a canned animation?
Wii's may be less expensive but there are hardly any games to justify the purchase and unless you buy an add on to the controller it still tracks like crap. Don't even get me started on the graphics either.
As far as I'm concerned Move is the only motion based anything right now that's worth my money and I'm only getting it because, after my buddy dropped my PS3 down the stairs and agreed to replace it, I had the option to choose between a new $300 slim immediately, or pre-ordering the move bundle to pick up in a couple months for the same price using the money he gave me. I chose the Move bundle because it's something extra and there are no games coming out specifically for PS3 right now.
I'm not a huge fan of motion controls, here's to hoping Move changes that in a few weeks.

@Monkey D Luffy
Isn't that pointless since it's not a Nintendo peripheral? Then again... the move is a slight bit bigger than a Wii-Mote from what I've seen, so you might be able to get it in there and use it for the Wii as well.

This is kind of funny, but I guess inevitable. It happened to the Wii. It's happening to the PS3. And someone will probably find a way to do with it with the 360.
The one drawback to doing this on the PS3 is obviously, the globe can't be blocked.

Yeah... I have a Move and Navigation controller on pre-order, but I think I'll pass on this collection of cheap plastic craptacular add-ons.
As others have said, it seems to me as if they'll cause at least some minor interference with the accuracy. Even if I did want to look like more of a tool when using Move, the sword, bow and table tennis paddle all seem like they will interfere with the line of sight between Move and PS Eye when moved in certain ways.
If the PS Eye can't see the orb, it makes guesses based on last position and movement of the gyro sensors, which can result in strange results. So... no thanks.

Am I the only person waiting for Vivid Entertainment's take on Move?
Oh...it will be an attachment like no other.

But doesn't the eye toy (camera) always need to see where is the glowing ping pong ball? So if you have these attachments on and they block the ball from one side, when you turn it the wrong way it would lose the tracking? Not that having theses attachments (same for the wii) really have any practical use or reason to exist.

If you need a piece of plastic too "enhance" your gaming experience, then the game must have not been very good to begin with. That is the problem with casual gaming. There are not any quality games that do the job of enhancing your experience with game play.

You don't need to buy new accesories. Just paint your Wii accesories of black and presto!
