Haha nice joke Joystiq! Really funny!

So now you've let us know that you know we would like something as simple as coloured arrows, we would appreciate them back next week.

Thanks in advance!

I mean I know it "went rogue". But it's heavily requested and can't be too hard to put some new coloured arrows in could it?

Hmm...

IF we are going to go this route, how about some colored text? That should be easy enough to do (keep it bold though, that's good)...

@Joystiq

But I already told you how to fix those rouge arrows! It's pretty simple, assuming you have the means to change the image tag for the arrows or to add simple CSS to the page. If not then ask whoever made your page to fix it.

The problem is because you're adding the deprecated hspace and vspace tags. Just remove those attributes from the img tag and it'll look normal.

@sonicspike41 I have the solution for them:

(html)
(head)
(style)
(!--
.down_arrow {
font-size: 0px; line-height: 0%; width: 0px;
border-top: 15px solid #ff0000;
border-left: 10px solid #fff;
border-right: 10px solid #fff;
}

.up_arrow {
font-size: 0px; line-height: 0px; width: 0px;
vertical-align: top;
border-left: 10px solid #fff;
border-right: 10px solid #fff;
border-bottom: 15px solid #00ff00;
}
.lr_arrow {
font-size: 0px; line-height: 0px; width: 0px;
border-top: 10px solid #fff;
border-bottom: 10px solid #fff;
border-right: 15px solid #0000ff;
border-left: 15px solid #0000ff;
}
--)
(/style)
(/head)
(body)(div)
- PS3: 29,433 (font class="down_arrow").(/font) 3,624 (10.96%) (br /)
- PSP: 27,554 (font class="down_arrow").(/font) 8,180 (22.89%)(br /)
- DSi LL: 21,179 (font class="down_arrow").(/font) 6,744 (24.15%)(br /)
- DSi: 20,030 (font class="down_arrow").(/font) 4,820 (19.40%)(br /)
- Wii: 18,145 (font class="down_arrow").(/font) 6,927 (27.63%)(br /)
- DS Lite: 4,012 (font class="down_arrow").(/font) 797 (16.57%)(br /)
- Xbox 360: 3,842 (font class="down_arrow").(/font) 1,223 (24.15%)(br /)
- PS2: 1,366 (font class="down_arrow").(/font) 309 (18.45%)(br /)
- PSP Go: 631 (font class="up_arrow").(/font) 23 (3.78%)(br /)
- Sega : 631 (font class="lr_arrow").(/font) 23 (3.78%)(br /)
(/div)
(/body)
(/html)

This is a modified version of the css arrows from www.avn8.com/?p=42 I have modified somewhat to get it to align properly.. Feel free to use this if its easy to implement its just some basic css obviously the ( and ) brackets need to be changed to the triangular version brackets, I didnt do that because I figured they would screw with the code of the site

Now that is reason why I hate HTML in general as a language. Is so hard to get things to go where you want them. I remember spending whole afternoons trying to get text to line up how I wanted it, back when I was in my HTML classes. I really don't see how the language as a whole took off . . .

That's the point of CSS though, for greater control of HTML.

Almost all modern browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome) support CSS 2.1 and pass the ACID2 test.

The only real problem is IE6, which is about 17% of all internet users, and is usually forced upon people by old fashioned companies who refuse to make the switch. Next would be IE7 which is a lot better, but not perfect. Lucky us IE7 is only about 12% of the current internet browsers.

I like the colored text idea. This is definitely easier to read than the arrows, but color would just make it that much easier.

True, I did learn a little bit of css, and it did indeed help, but then after that browser support became an issue where I would have a site that looked a mess in firefox but normal in IE lol it was always one problem after the next with web programing in general.

I wouldn't count Firefox 4 against them since it's still a beta.

I don't have Opera installed but it looks and works fine in Chrome, Safari, and the latest stable release of Firefox for me. The last post with a video was acting weird, but all the others I tried were fine.

@Foetoid Google Chrome works fine, Chromium is broken. The comments dont appear on chromium when there is a flash video.

Chromium is the completely open source build of Chrome / actual project behind chrome.
