So I guess this means we'll never see a sequel to Revolution X. Hopefully, someone else will see the genius behind a lightgun game where you play as Aerosmith.

Good night, sweet prince.

I shall remember you, but mostly thank you, for the countless fun hours playing NBA Jam. And of course, Mortal Kombat.

That's too bad. I've always wanted the chance to buy another Alien Trilogy, and install it on 3 separate and capable PC's and have it not run on any of them.

Akklaim was such a huge part of any 90s gamer. It's still kind of surreal how well I remember that logo

Did Acclaim make that WWF Royal Rumble game for SNES? I played the living crap out of that game when I was a kid. Tatanka FTW!

The only good thing Acclaim has ever done in the history of its existence is publishing Darius Gaiden in the United States.

Double Dragon II, Bust-A-Move, Turok 1, Turok 2, the first two Burnouts, and Extreme-G would like to see you out back.

And Galactic Attack.

But other than those Acclaim dying again is no major loss, it should of never been restructured in the firs place.

@MCDillinger .. and (partialy) the first couple of Mortal Kombat games.. I was reading Edge's 'Best 100 games of all time' a while back, Acclaim had quite a few titles in there. At least they weren't scared to invest in new IP back in the day.

Poor Acclaim. I thought they had rebounded with their online MMO strategy. Maybe Disney/Playdom has something in mind and doesn't want to waste anymore resources on the MMO space.

Didn't Throwback Entertainment buy the good stuff years back anyway?

I don't know if that's good thing anyway, I doubt another Extreme-G will actually see the light of day...
