The PlayStation Network is down today, August 30, for maintenance until "approximately 12:30pm Pacific." So, don't bother trying to buy anything from the store or attempt to access account management. Also, users "may encounter difficulty while signing in to PSN."
The PS Twitter will update as soon as the service becomes fully operational again.

@LockeDaemonfire No, your right. The other person is an idiot. I don't even wake up until 11 on days I don't have class and then I still have to get breakfast and catch sportscenter (until those asses at Disney cut it off in a few days). So... yeah. I don't normally game until at least 1pm. Add in the fact that my buddy dropped my PS3 down the stairs... and right now I don't game on my PS3 at all.

Yeah, I don't remember four either. There was a Sunday morning where I tried to log in on the last like 15 minutes of it, but otherwise I haven't been affected at all.
Hopefully they're patching out that hack already :)

Not fair? It is a free service, Jeebus. As GOB would say, "C'mon!"

I don't care either but it's not fair on people who use it more than I do.

I doubt the Logo for a head helps very much either. I mean the most eye like part of the logo, the circle, isn't even facing the right direction... it's staring at his ass. How can he possibly see what the umbrella is doing when he's spending so much time admiring the junk in his own trunk.

And yeah... this is probably snuffing out all those PSJailbreaks. I laugh at all those people who spent $130 on that stuff just to have it squashed a few days later. I'll sit through a 5 hr update if it means the cheaters get their due. At least Sony is attempting to do something about this stuff.

Grrr, I stayed home from work, and was going to buy Shank this morning to take a break from Red Dead. Looks like Single Player and Scott Pilgrim for me!

Any other monday would be fine, but here in the UK its a bank holiday monday, half the country is off work. I wouldn't mind to much, but the message " Not available in your country/region" scared the pants off me. Would it be to much trouble to say "Under maintenance- Check back later"? Shoddy I reckon!
