Okay, I love TRON, but this seems kinda very expensive. Will sell out regardless and be sold for $300 on eBay.

LOL

Weak IP to begin with, even back then.
Crap movie
Crap movie game.

GL with this. I can't believe retail and marketing divisions think that this is worth the shelf space.

@thisredengine For that price, the light cycle better actually light up like that for me to consider it.

No way I'm getting this (most likely not the standard game edition either) but that light cycle is damn sweet

The day they get me to pay $130 for a licensed movie game is the day they pry it from my cold, dead hands.

This game looks pretty terrible. I lost interest the moment I saw the light-cycle gameplay ... that's so not TRON.

The film is looking pretty good so far, but I'd rather play TRON 2.1 on PSN/XBLA/Steam/Wii.

@TraV

Or you can /not/ pay it, and still play most of the same games, with the exception of Halo/Gears of War/Fable. On the other hand, you get Uncharted, God of War, Little Big Planet, and others worth owning a PS3 for.

@TraceurRyuk Prepping for LBP2

Really? You're willing to shell out an extra $70 bucks for something that looks like it would be sold at Toys R' Us for $20? I don't care if the game is the next Uncharted 2 or Mass Effect 2, that's f'n expensive!

Only reason I am excited for the movie is because Daft Punk is doing the score. Otherwise I wouldn't think twice about this.

The film looks spectacular, but I lost interest in this game as soon as I saw the rather generic thirdperson fighting & platform gameplay.

I wish someone would develop another excellent Tron FPS in the style of Tron 2.0. This doesnt look as contemporary to me as that game was when it came out.

The night vision goggles are exactly the same as ones you can get from the childrens toys section from walmart. Someone made a comparison of the 2, but I forgot where.

There's a light cycle toy, if I remember correctly, that will actually drive on walls. They could've packaged that for a sell...
Even the Black Ops prestige edition comes with a working Audio/video RC car :\

I am unhealthily obsessed with Tron and I don't even think $130 is enough to warrant a purchase if all it comes with is a lightcycle toy and that case.

Maybe if this were $80, I would have considered it... but $130 and it doesn't even come with a game soundtrack, collectible art book, making of/behind the scenes blu-ray... that's just crazy. I got really excited when I saw the picture, that was until I saw the price!

I have LittleBigPlanet 2 preordered for $80 and it comes with all this:

* LittleBigPlanet 2 game disc
* 7" collectable Sackboy plushie
* Exclusive LBP2 game ends (bookends)
* 11 DLC Sackboy costumes including:
o Disney/Pixar's Toy Story 3's Alien's Sackboy costume
o Disney's TRON Legacy "CLU" Sackboy costume
o The Muppets "The Great Gonzo" Sackboy costume
o PlayStation's "Ratchet" Sackboy costume
o PlayStation's "Crank" Sackboy costume
o Even More Animals' "Crocodile" Sackboy costume
o Even More Animals' "Vulture" Sackboy costume
o Even More Animals' "Cobra" Sackboy costume
o Even More Animals' "Mandril" Sackboy costume
* 2 Sackboy costumes exclusive to LBP2 (Jax and Daxter costumes)
* 5 exclusive Sackboy themed PSN avatars

LBP2CE FTW!

Just steal some money from Doc's suitcase-o-cash to pay for your Tron: Legacy CE.

@Mr Esc is the namesarcasm is my ;The NV goggle that came with any of the special editions can be bought for 60 bucks and TRU. They're exactly the same design and were made by the same company the only difference is the shape of the plastic shell. The NV does work but it's 2D and low resolution.

This on the other hand will not build walls of light as it drives around your floor, tripping your dog and breaking your grandmother's hip. Perhaps it;s die cast metal but even then it cant possibly offer as much value as a working Night vision gear even if it was just decorative.

Wow, would you guys listen to your whiny asses? "Wah wah, that's so expensive!"

It's a lightcycle from Sideshow Collectibles. Their Mickey Tron figure alone is like $70.

Yes, it's a COLLECTOR'S EDITION for a reason.
