Sonic Adventure arrives on XBLA September 15 for $10
55
The first (but certainly not last) Dreamcast title to arrive on Xbox Live Arcade is, appropriately enough, the fastest. Major Nelson's latest schedule for the platform has revealed a September 15 release date for Sonic Adventure, which will be available for 800 Microsoft Points ($10). No word yet on the release plans for Sega's other previously announced Dreamcast revival, Crazy Taxi.
We've contacted Sega to find out if the game will arrive on PSN on a similar timetable. We also sent them an email with the subject line "Give us Seaman," followed by a body of text which simply read, "SEEEEEAAAAAAAAMAAAAAAAN."

Let me know when SA2 hits the XBLA. I'd pick up crazy taxi when it hits if it still had the original soundtrack, but as it is I'll just be playing these games on my dreamcast.

Are they doing anything to "upgrade" the games? Talking about true widescreen presentation and/or HD upgrades like they are doing with Sly Cooper Collection. The pic looks like it might be a bit "crisper" then the original, but that just might be due to the better hardware (like how Sonic Adventure DX for GC looks better then the original). Can't remember if they said they were or weren't as its been so long since they first announced they were bringing Dreamcast games to PS3 and XBox.

@Ospov
The original post said it was going to PSN and XBLA, but if you read above you can see that Sony hasn't given a release date, yet.

800 points sounds like it'll be the original version without all of the Game Gear games DX had.
Still, the original also had less glitches than DX.

I can see them taking out the game gear games...... but hopefully they will at least leave metal sonic and all the missions. Although if it does have the game gear games that would be epic and unexpected!

Instant purchase if the Chao Garden is included.
IMAGINE AN ONLINE CHAO GARDEN. I mean a REAL online Chao garden, with a Chao auction house and purchasable Chao outfits and online Chao races and fights and some NEW activities and YOU COULD MOVE THEM TO WINDOWS PHONE 7 that would be awesome would it not?
It'll never happen but I can dream.

Lets see what else Sega puts out from its backlog further down the road. We'll most likely see SA2 next year.
