There is no physically possible way that this won't soothe some of that dissatisfation with PS+ I've been hearing about

Bah, I don't need a demo to know what the game entails. I still don't quite see how it fits in storywise, as between 1 and 2, there didn't appear to be any hints of him having to prove himself worthy of being a god, and for the obvious fact he has hated them ever since refusing to allow him to end his suffering by offing himself. Hell, they stopped him just so they could force him into the position.

I wonder if this is the same thing (probably is) that I played at E3.
It was pretty sweet then, I'm just hoping for something different :)

I honestly can't see what there is to demo, all the God of War games play the same. If you play one, you've pretty much played them all. If anything, a demo will just be a story taste only for you to want more.

If you honestly believe that then you can say the same thing about almost every sequel made ever. If you've played one 2D mario, you've played them all right?
If the games really were the same with just a difference in story, they wouldn't sell that well.
From what I played in E3, you get different magics, different weapons (spear and shield), new enemies and bosses as well as new levels.
Yeah, some sequels change more than other sequels an, sure, the fundamental gameplay of "kill stuff and dodge attacks" hasn't changed but neither has Street Fighter, Mario, Mario Kart, Rockband, Devil May Cry, Assassin's Creed, Halo,....................zzzzZZZZzz......etc.

Except God of War really does do this. It's more of the same. New weapons and magic are just reskinned old ones or combinations of old ones. New bosses? Big deal, if I fight it the same way I did in other God of War games and kill it with a similar Quick Time Event, it's not different.
At least the 2D Marios introduce new gameplay mechanics, new powerups, co-op (something I think God of War could use), and different level design for platforming.
God of War is just the same thing with each game. Press Square and Triangle to fight these guys, mash this button, grab this heavy item and push it on this switch, etc. I've got 3 of the 4 God of War games for free and they all felt exactly the same. Though admittedly, they didn't look the same due to the pretty graphics.

Don't get me wrong, they aren't bad games at all. They're good, but Sony seems to play it a little too safe with this series in terms of making actual changes.

Are you guys serious? Why are people complaining about a GoW demo??? Would you rather NOT have the demo at all? Yes, they all play the same, but as far as I know, this is NOT GoW 1, 2, 3 or Chains of Olympus, thus, it offers differents tasks and missions. This is gonna be a great game and I can't wait for the demo.

Cool. Hopefully they'll release that on EU store as well. I'm sick of watching all the good stuff on US store.

@wcarnation What?
A demo, for a subscribed price. It is not enough that I already WE buy their consoles, invest in their company's product line and show our devotion. Boast the fact that unlike MS, they know how to truly reciprocate the gesture with their free service (something Sony-Bots couldn't stop harping on about), and now you're saying we have self-entitlement issues?
Elitist issues, everywhere. How's that?
Sony have won! This is exacly the real side to PS PLUS and the freeservice, because now those that have subscribed will be on their high and mighty horse, blowing toxic-SMUG out of their assses.

Mmmm I wonder if it can be copied. Normally demos are free to distribute, but if they tie this to the PSN then things like a proper game then things will be different. Of course then there are the PSP hackers who can take such restrictions off.
Don't fret good sirs, we won't be denied our GoW GoS fix.

So there is a possibility that the demo will go on just for subscribers? if that the case, screw you Sony. Not everyone download a lot of stuffs and don't need the service at all.

Bah! Typical! The first time in ages the PSN+ has something worthwhile for me, and I already got a download code at the GoW Directors Live event last night.

And don't get me wrong. If they do provide a demo to the free users, say a few weeks from now, then that is cool. However, at the moment, there is NO SUCH NEWS, so all I get is baseless speculation. Now if we really don't get the demo, at all, I would like to see a humble plus member step up for the free users and prove to all of us that my generalisation up there was wrong (that most--if not all--plus owners are riding their high horses, telling the rest of us to abandon our 'self-entitlement issues', simply to justify their own spending and distinguished status as + members).

Whoa, got a hook-up for the demo, thank to being signed up with the newsletter-like thingie from the GoW site. (Said it was valid until yesterday, but still worked; maybe because I just got it "14 minutes ago".) Not that it will do me much good, being PSP-less (which GoW:GoS will correct). Maybe I can snag my friend's...
