Oh boy -- yes, this certainly seems like an announcement for an announcement, and you know how much we love those (not at all). But 2K Games' blog has posted that "something big is going to happen at the 2K Games booth" this weekend for PAX 2010, and it's got everyone riled up. If nothing else, just consider this a PSA that there will be a live stream starting tomorrow morning at 10AM PDT, in which we'll supposedly see "something big." An elephant? An Ubisoft Toronto game? Tom Hanks after a wish?
If it helps (it doesn't), Duke Nukem co-creator George Broussard has tweeted a link to a picture of pigs flying, which some folks have taken to mean that Duke Nukem For.. -- oh, never mind, we can't even bring ourselves to say its name. Let's just all wait patiently until the live stream starts tomorrow, and then we won't be disappointed when 2K announces that it has convinced President Christoph Hartmann to attend PAX in a silly gorilla suit.

Well the rumored new developer for DNF is Gearbox. And 2k published Gearbox's last game.
However I wouldn't get your hopes up in any case. as Take Two still claims to hold rights to publish it, and is in a lawsuit with 3DR over it.
The most promising thing out of all this is that pigs flying tweet with the Duke glasses.

Ho ho.....this should be very nice indeed.
My bet? Grand Theft Auto V, with a playable demo. That wouldn't explain the flying pigs, but you never what could be up their sleeves.
OK, so I know there's a slim chance of GTA V, but who knows.

Not happening. (Well it will but not from 2K) Bethesda Game Studio games will be published by only Bethesda Softworks. The 2K - TES:O deal was really only to get them on their feet.

Wrong my friend, Bethesda is Bethesda's publisher, ZeniMax is their parent company.

"2K producer George Broussard"
Errm last I checked George had nothing to do with 2K and was battling a lawsuit from their parent company.

2K will announce GTA V, which is made by their R* company.
Just kidding, it will be the Duke Nukem.
Their should be a line in DN where the character says, "You know the douche, nuke em!"

While Duke Nukem came to mind (and is entirely possible), I'm thinking maybe not because of the whole pigs flying thing. It's like he was saying "I know you're all thinking it, but that's not what's happening."
So likely options besides that (if you call it likely) include: XCOM, Bioshock Infinite, and Borderlands. Possibly Spec Ops or The Darkness 2.
But what I'm REALLY hoping for (and this is a looooong shot) is a sequel to Jade Empire!
