Substituting "Amazing Spider-Man writer" for "Every major Marvel Comics event for the last 7 or so years writer" would have been a better descriptor for Brian Michael Bendis.

@LazerPewPew ,

Bendis hasn't written Amazing Spider-Man outside of a short story from an issue last year or so. He has however written ULTIMATE Spider-Man for almost 150 consecutive issues. Along with a whole lot of other books.

The man is a hack who can do nothing but rehash old stories.

Also, he has no neck.

@PooPooKaKaBumBum,
oh hush, you can say you dislike his writing style and that some of his recent work in Marvel's 616 wasn't very good recently, but saying he can do nothing but rehash old stories? Never read Alias or Ultimate Spider-Man?

@vmenge

Ultimate Spiderman is exactly what I'm talking about.

He doesn't write anything, just rehashes old Spider-Man stories.

The man doesn't have an original thought in his body.

@PooPooKaKaBumBum :

You're an idiot. Marvel approached him to do an update of Spider-Man for a new generation and that's exactly what he did, I want to say I prefer it to some of the older stuff. The Ultimate Comics stuff going on right now is damned original, it's up to #15 by now.

But whatever, it has Stan Lee's blessing, nuff said.

@PooPooKaKaBumBum,
so, you never read USM at all? He doesn't rehash old stories, he re-imagines them in sometimes completely different and more entertaining ways.

Really? Powers is great and he just started Scarlet. Both are great original Bendis ideas. He has done a ton of other original, creator-owned work, like Jinx and Torso.

That picture. He looks like he's saying from the side of his mouth:

"you mad?"

His Avengers stuff is embarrassing to read, but I really like all of his Ultimate work.
