Just look at the image above and tell us the guy isn't CEO material. Heck, even better: watch the new PlayStation Move ad for yourself past the break and try to tell us it isn't the highlight of your day!
Kevin Butler shows us the epic side of PlayStation Move

Sony, here's an idea: just let Kevin Butler control your entire company. Seriously, Sir Howard Stringer is a great guy and all, don't get us wrong -- we've been up plenty of nights bawling our eyes out while he cradled us in his big, burly arms, assuring us that the PS3 would in fact be okay -- but Kevin Butler has proven in his latest ad that he's more than capable for the job.

I really don't see anything that hasn't been done on the Wii.
But I do love the PlayStation commercials.

HAAAAAHAAAAAHAAAA!!!! I love the detail in the very first shot with the running joke of the Jack Tretton picture being, this time placed next to the TV. You really need to give it to the ad agency about how they are thinking about details.

The only thing I didn't like was the start with the two people playing what looked like a single player fps with two guns. Then again maybe they pulled the "trick the 2 year old (or in this case the old man) to believe they're actually playing" card. :V

I'm not sure why I remembered your comment, but I was just watching the video again, and I think the game is Time Crisis: Razing Storm. It's got co-op, and it's default to on-rails, which is shown there. I hear it's got an fps mode though.

Why did that plant that oddly looked like a bush catch on fire?
Does that mean this is going to be godly?
Echocrome 2 looks great though.

Great commercial. I question how well the Move will actually do, though. Will devs get behind it, or ignore it like they have for the most part with the Wii, instead shoveling out cheap party games? Not that the Wii doesn't have great games, but the full development might of most developers has certainly not been brought to bear on the Wii, despite the market penetration.
Price of entry is a little steep, as well. We'll see what happens. It would be disingenuous of me to say that it's not a good idea, especially since Nintendo effectively did a lo-fi version four years ago. Can they dislodge Wii, or are they setting up for failure when Nintendo announces their eventual Wii successor?
The next couple of years are going to be fun, whatever happens. :)
