Kojima wants a 'Complete' edition of MGS4, if someone else makes it

Poor ol' Hideo Kojima has apparently been on the receiving end of a plethora of demands from his rabid fanbase, all crying out for the integration of some of the PS3's patched-in features into Metal Gear Solid 4. The idiosyncratic developer took time out of his busy schedule of eating bizarre-looking foodstuffs to respond by saying, "I wanted to make a 'Complete Version' with trophy support and 3D, but if I did that I wouldn't be able to work on a new game. I wonder if someone else would make it for me."

Well, gang -- any takers? It really shouldn't be too hard. Just drop a trophy in for completing each boss fight, one for beating the game on its hardest difficulty, and one for beating the game using only your wits and a pornographic magazine. Give them some clever names ("I Only Read It For The Articles," for instance), and baby, you're good to go.

That would be awesome. But how would he do it? Didn't MGS4 already take up nearly all the 50gb of Blu-Ray Space? Maybe it could be DLC since that wasn't possible on PS2 & the other MGS games. Anyone with me?

Or am I making this up, I could swear I read something about 30+ GB per layer on a BD Disc.. :/

@Prboi Wasn't MGS4 three years ago? with the things deveolpers have leaned about the PS3 they could probably half the number of installs and reduce the amount of data on the disc, and run much smoother too

Yes, Sony would have to re-release the PS3 since a firmware update isn't enough for that kind of memory. I read somewhere that a company has a disc in test runs that can hold up to a TB in memory but the costs of it ar just too high for a single disc. & Also, MS is looking into a 120 gb disc & Sony is doing the same since the price for it isn't too high.

hey, there is always 2-disc option which we've seen on MGS.
and this time change the conversation with Otacon and Snake about PS3 system Blu-ray Disc wasn't big enough to fit all in, and I think that could be very interesting MGS-esque jokes, like always.

My bet is on Metal Gear Solid 4: Existence. More than a year ago on Joystiq, a story was posted about how Konami trademarked the subtitle for a future MGS game, not to mention the last boss fight in the game, where the options upon dying change from "Retry" or "Exit" to "Retry" or "Exist."

I hate 3D with a passion, but it wouldn't be such a bad idea. It's not like they would take anything away from the game, you would still be able to play it in 2D.

But whats point I upgraded to HD just 2 years ago, I have the money to buy a 3d tv but there no point, in 2 years time maybe there will be no tv and every one is rushing out to by virtual reality *whatever* and that will cost big money and 2 years after that is the next craze blah blah and you look back and see how much money you wasted.

I have a 3D TV but pretty much NEVER use the 3D feature. I'm betting that has to do with "all that content" out there. Makes a great 2D TV, so I'm good for everything else out there.

The Motorstorm demo was pretty cool. Looking forward to Motorstorm 3.

remake 3D version of MGS 1,2,3 for Nintendo 3DS, and go from there?

I would replay it a 7th time for trophies. I'm still playing MGO to this day and haven't found it to be boring once, well sometimes it may get boring.

I want co-op like Peace Walker in MGI but sadly that will probably never happen.

I was just about to finally embark on the journey that is MGS4 when my PS3 YLOD'ed on me just a few minutes ago :(

MGS4 was so good, owning, playing and beating the game was a trophy on itself!
