Kojima wants a 'Complete' edition of MGS4, if someone else makes it

Poor ol' Hideo Kojima has apparently been on the receiving end of a plethora of demands from his rabid fanbase, all crying out for the integration of some of the PS3's patched-in features into Metal Gear Solid 4. The idiosyncratic developer took time out of his busy schedule of eating bizarre-looking foodstuffs to respond by saying, "I wanted to make a 'Complete Version' with trophy support and 3D, but if I did that I wouldn't be able to work on a new game. I wonder if someone else would make it for me."

Well, gang -- any takers? It really shouldn't be too hard. Just drop a trophy in for completing each boss fight, one for beating the game on its hardest difficulty, and one for beating the game using only your wits and a pornographic magazine. Give them some clever names ("I Only Read It For The Articles," for instance), and baby, you're good to go.

I would like Atlus to make a complete version if possible. They did, well nothing to From Software's Demons Soul's except bring it to the states. Leave MGS4 the way it is(plus trophies} and I'm good.

I love it when thought is put into the names for Achievements/Trophies. I like the references and comedy in them.

If somebody else makes it (like the team that worked on Ninja Gaiden Sigma), I'm all for it if they add in the 60% new gameplay sequences missing from the original.

And remove Drebin's dreadful "beauties" monologues...

And add in uncensored, viewable gravure mags as collectibles in-game...

And then fix the ending

meh trophies are dumb, we need to port this over to the 360 and get some Achievements mmm just love that unlock sound...so satisfying..

@emperorzeroxx The achievement sound is a good sound, but the problem is it's the same sound as every other system notification, which dilutes its specialness. At least the trophy sound is unique. When you hear that sound, you know you just got a trophy; no chance it's just a download being paused or something like that.

Haha, because I'm such a Trophy Whore, I would totally buy this again for the trophies. Just don't make me get any of them through the online portion, because 9 times out of 10 I couldn't even get connected in a match in that game.

I know I'm going to be the outlier on this, but I was very disappointed that the codec support was so minimal. It was so thin they really didn't need to include it at all.

I'd love it if they had the PS2 games's level of codec conversations with the various folks. Considering that the PS1's game managed to have plenty of this material, I don't think space is too much of a concern.

i brought a ps3 last year just for mgs4.
i thought it didn't have trophies simply because the developers didn't want trophy grinding to get in the way of this masterful piece of art.

either way its another reason for another play through

Get some responsible people to do a God of War style collection of all the Metal Gear Solid games, then call it a day... or decade.

Just make it so I can install the ENTIRE game to my HDD and you have my money.

I've heard about a different version of MGS4 in development since 2007 and it was working on Xbox 360 Dev Kits. If you think I'm lying, tweet kojima about it. although it never came out and it was handled by a small team inside Konami but not by KojiPro.

Kojima, get on the horn with Sega and get them to patch in the trophies so they can do Valkyria Chronicles while they are at it.

Disclaimer: I have played the shit out of Valk, trophies or not. Would be nice, tho. Just sayin'.

If this happens, the trophies need to be retroactive - have the game read your save data and award earned trophies on boot up. I certainly don't want to go through getting the Big Boss title again.

well, it seems like an amazing idea, besides, Kojima, i believe, is still working on MGS Rising, i'm not sure he would have the time to work on it. As long as they don't mess with the gameplay or anything, they'll do fine. By the way, the trophy on the Playboy magazine was nice, i think it should stay as one of the trophies. =]

As much of a beef as I have with MGS4 on multiple levels, I have to admit I'd probably buy something like this if it were to be released (at a reasonable price).

How about a MGS4 Editor's Cut with professionally edited, shorter cutscenes, and less midi-chlorians.

why won't he just ditch the pointless 3D and put VR missions in the "complete" version, i would so buy that, who cares about 3D!
