The game originally launched in Japanese arcades back in January. PSP users can also access KOF Sky Stage right now in Neo Geo Heroes, while those of us in the US can likely look forward to a localized release, so says an ESRB listing. If you're looking to get an early start at finding all of those sweet hiding spots to take refuge from the impending bullet swarms, head past the break for a new trailer.
KOF Sky Stage shoots up Japanese XBLA on September 15

SNK's oddball bullet hell shmup, KOF Sky Stage, has finally been dated for Xbox Live Arcade -- in Japan, at least. Masochists can check it out on September 15 for 800 MS Points ($10). That's a small price to pay to see Terry Bogard and company fly around and shoot stuff. And, y' know, play a super-tough game.

Cool. Now SNK how about showing America some loving. Terry Bogard is favorite Fighting Game character and I'd like to perform a Buster Wolf again please.

Wait just watched the vid. What the hell is this? Since when was KOF a bullet hell game? Damn you SNK. Stop playing around and start making real fighting games and leave the bullet hells to Metal Slug and Shock Troopers.

They're trying to make money, albeit in a very strange way. When was the last time any friggin' SNK fighting game sold well?

Why'd I get downranked? Any way then they should try harder then cause no one is going to buy this. When people think KOF they think Fighting not Terry Bogard flying through the air shooting space ships.

Not really interested on this. What I want to know is if KOFXIII is coming to consoles... I hope they announce that on TGS this year.

More bullet-hell games are only a good thing.

But if they put an image of Mai I won't be able to concentrate and I'll always lose.
