Make a music video for Left 4 Dead's Midnight Riders
20
If you found yourself particularly inspired by the quartet of southern rock troubadours prominently featured in Left 4 Dead 2's "Dark Carnival" campaign, you can now stretch your creative muscles to give one of the fictional band's hit songs some visual flair. Valve recently announced a contest to create the best music video for the Riders' chart topper "Save Me Some Sugar (This Won't Take Long)," which will make its debut in the upcoming "The Sacrifice" DLC campaign. The winner of the contest will receive a Valve "gift pack" and a guitar signed by all four members of the band.
The manner in which you create this video is entirely up to you -- will it be live action, in-game footage or a hybrid of both? Regardless of what you go with, we hope you first seek out some thematically appropriate inspiration.

Save Me Some Sugar was in 'The Passing" at the wedding or on the jukebox in the pool hall.

The two at both ends look like they would be perfect snacks for the infected.

@godly967 I'd actually almost like to see them as special (or uncommon) infected in a DLC!

Haha. This is proof enough that bearded heroes are the fad and awesome character designs now. Foget bald bad-ass looking protagonist. Bearded hobo look is the latest in fashion and awesomeness. xD
I'm guessing that's because they can see double rainbow. haha

I'm picturing them rocking out on stage while thousands of infected are just piling into the stadium with the intention of ripping the band apart, only to slow down when they get closer to the front of the stage. Then the infected all start liking it and rocking out. Then at the end of the song the Midnight Riders hit the switch for the big finale pyrotechnics, blowing the place and all of the infected back to hell, while our hobo heroes are flying away safely in their chopper. Looking very bad ass, of course.

@The Tim
I've played Alan Wake. I was thinking more along the lines of the finale of the Dark Carnival campaign in LFD2 (which Alan Wake kinda rips, but it's still cool). Hitting the pyrotechnics switch and even being air lifted away at the end.
NA NA NAAA NAAA NA NA NA NAAAA!!

I don't understand why you'd keep releasing DLC for both games. Why not cut the first L4D and just release all the DLC on the second. You're segmenting your community....
