Yeah, um, i don't have a PhD in graphics, but I don't see a disparity (if any) between the 2 images. Maybe it's the crappy quality of the camera that shot the pic?

Okay, the images aren't THAT bad. Don't know what else to say if you can't really tell the difference.

That's what she said :P

But I still don't see the difference :/ Just because more of the screen is shown in one of the pics doesn't make it better.

Focus in on the girl. Her hairstyle is a little different different and her face is more defined in the newer shots.

@Grey - The other picture shows the change more obviously. Notably, the image has a much wider frame of view (somewhere wider than 16:9) than Ico does running on either a PS2 or an emulator. Also, you can see the difference easily on Yorda's hair, or on the textures. Ico ran at less than 480p, and as such, the textures were extremely muddy. That issue is completely corrected by either emulating the game at a higher resolution (which I have; It's breathtaking for a PS2 game) or playing a PS3 port of the game.

Having said all of that, the screenshots are hardly conclusive evidence that a Team Ico Collection exists. It probably does, but Team Ico has the capability to take high res screenshots of their own game; They have the debug tools after all. It's likely that it is a screenshot directly from the T.I.C though, just because there really isn't any reason for him to display bullshots when we all pretty much know that the real thing is in development.

I hope we get a T.L.G release date at TGS. A Team Ico Collection release date would definitely sate the hunger though, as long as we get a new trailer for T.L.G.

The Team Ico Collection will be announced @ TGS. If Sony listen to fans to develop the Sly Collection, then they'll do it as well.

I hope Konami announces a MGS Collection during TGS. That'd make my week!

@Gibbeynator

How is making the whole Solid series available for people who had maybe missed a couple (including the Substance and Subsistence versions of 2 and 3) and charging $10 per game a cash-in? After they had been unavailable for years, that's a freaking awesome deal.

I might have bought it just to support such releases, but as it turned out, my copy of MGS2 was messed up, so I had a good reason. I just ended up with bonus copies of the others.

Damn you team ICO >,<

You are just hellbent on making sure I go out and buy a PS3 aren't you. Yeah I know its been out for like 6+ years and I keep not bothering to get one. But I'm the sort of gamer with patience ..... unfortunately I'm also the sort of gamer who will buy an entire console just for one game.

As to date nothing has moved me save Zelda: Skyward Sword and as soon as that was officially announced I became the [s]proud[/s] owner of a Wii.

I'd love for this to come out. I never played Ico but I did play through Shadow of the Colossus and thought it was one of the most breathtaking games I've ever played. I'd really like to play Ico, especially if it won't look like crap on my HDTV.

Awesome. Ive been trying to hunt down a copy of ICO for the PS2 forever. Ive been to all the gamestops in the NYC area and some in NJ, no luck. I did manage to find other gems like Fahrenheit, MvC2 and GTA SA pre hot coffee removal. As much as i want it still for PS2 i'll settle on a PS3 remake, especially Shadow of the Colossus.

i hate how this will start a new trend if people asking to remake every PS2 game with HD graphics, some games (alot of them actually) should be better of in their glorious PS2 days. Much like SNES and NES games before that

@PR0F3TA I looked for ICO every time I went into a Gamestop until I finally decided to get in on ebay earlier this year. I got it complete with case and manual and the disk is in excellent condition, so I am happy with the purchase even if a remake comes out eventually.

I know what you mean about this becoming a new remake trend. In the case of ICO/SotC it can be great because ICO is hard to find and SotC would become perfect if they tweak the camera and maybe the controls a bit.

The camera and controls are fine to me in Shadow of the Colossus. Maybe not completely ideal but I don't think they need to be tweaked and definitely not "fixed." The only thing I'd LOVE to see in this purported HD re-release in terms of Shadow of the Colossus is some "HD-ification" (lol) of the game's textures and jaggies, stuff like that.

More fuel added to the rumor fire. Heres hoping, Shadow of the Colosus really should have been a PS3 game I thought, an update in HD would be great. I would like to see Final Fantasy X given the God of War treatment too but so far it all seems to be Sony owned franchises getting these updates

I dunno about biggest video game history, but that FF7 PS3 CG video or whatever it was, considering FF7 is a zillion times more well known than ICO.

I'm the opposite of you: I have Shadow of the Colossus but don't have Ico. I was going to get Ico once at GameStop but the front cover artwork had literally been written all over with a permanent marker as well as the disc. Needless to say it looked like crap...not that it matters much cuz the North American artwork for Ico SUCKED in comparison to the Japanese artwork for the front cover.

I bought the specially packaged version of Ico in the UK, played it, loved it, then for some reason I traded it into a shop. I regretted it so bad that I spent a stupid amount of money on eBay to buy it again around the time that SotC came out. And I'd happily do so again for an HD version.

If anyone is unsure about this having never played Ico or SotC then they are ni serious danger of missing out - it was the most atmospheric and downright emotional gaming experience.

@C1ph3rDivyne I can enjoy SotC any day as it is, so I wouldn't complain if they just optimize the graphics, that alone would be sweet. I just think that as long as they are re-releasing the game (if they are) they could tweak a few things that weren't exactly perfect.

The camera gave me some problems at some points. In one instance I had to control Agro the horse, point my arrow at a moving object as I was moving myself, and control the camera at the same time, and this would have been ok if the camera was cooperating with me but that wasn't the case. I don't want them to change the way the camera works, I like being able to control it, is just that I would find myself looking in all kinds of different directions that what I wanted.

Another instance is when you fight the two smaller Colossus (Colossuses? Colossy?). If they get you against a wall the camera just goes nuts, and usually there is not way to escape from it so you have to watch as they keep attacking you until you finally run out of energy and die.

All of this falls into nitpicking territory though, I enjoy the game immensely and none of this things are game breaking, but as I said before why not do something about it if they have the chance.

Always thought that Shadow of the Colossus should have been a PS3 launch title anyway since it nearly crippled the PS2's processing power, but my ultimate point is that Sony will take a few hundred bucks from my pocket if this happens.
