Ed Harris! Badarse!! (British English spelling)

Gotta say I'm not even likely to get the game, but great voice actor choices. Oldman, as always, will be solid.

And where is that background picture from? Looks like an old VHS 80's movie cover familiar to me...I just can't pick it!

It's from State of Grace, from 1990. Had it on VHS years ago when Gary Oldman was my favourite actor at the time. Not a bad movie, pretty enjoyable and a typical psycho performance from Mr. Oldman.

If Reznov is in it, does that mean I get to play as Russians?

Completely unnecessary. This is a videogame, not a movie. Start spending more on actors than the game, and soon, you'll find the quality is going to suffer. I hate cutscenes anyways, just hire some theater student in college and get it over with.

Oldman is a supporting actor and Harris currently lives off voiceovers for Lowes stores. The going rate for voice talent of that level will end up being a fraction of the overall development budget. If anything, voice budget will be *less* than World at War without Keifer Sutherland on board.

The inclusion of semi-famous voice talent rarely effects A-List titles. (Keep in mind, I said "A-List," not "Wheelman" quality. lol). Voice work is usually an afterthought in the grand scheme of game development. Sam Jackson had no ill effects on GTA San Andreas. Liam Neeson had no effect on Fallout 3. Sutherland and Oldman had no effect on World at War. Activision may be kooky sometimes, but sacrificing one of their flagship titles for the sake of 20 lines of dialogue is pushing it.

I have this weird feeling Infinity Ward fans are setting up their "reasons why the game sucks" well in advance, and this one is a little bit of a reach.

It's Call of Duty. These games sell over 10 Million copies, and I'm sure they're given a nice budget to work with.

@Brian Griffin I haven't seen anything as horrible as what Microsoft did with Halo, so I guess I shouldn't complain. They really did nothing in the sequels for those games.

ODST had some of the most annoying voice acting ever. Hearing these awful characters drone on in the "bodacious duuuuude" style was huge let down for a game that had the potential to be much more epic feeling.

@technoreaper I understand why they use famous voices, but I think it depends on the voice and how they use it. A lot of times they do it right, and the voice fits naturally with the character such that I am still immersed in the story. Oldman's performances (his voice and his acting, actually) is a great example.

At other times, the voice pulls me away from the story, and makes me realize I am playing a game, which I find distracting. For example, I love Kiefer Sutherland and am a huge fan of 24, but I always think of 24 when I hear his voice in CoD:WaW. Same with Sheen's voice in ME2; instead of listening to the Illusive Man, I kept thinking of Sheen.

I have nothing against the actors or using famous voices, but I think there are ways to do it right and to fit it into the story, and there are times when the voice just becomes too overwhelming. Finding the balance is the key.

I know I'm probably a bit late to be asking this, but has it been confirmed yet whether this game will have Zombie mode? Because that was the single best thing about WaW and by far the most fun I've ever had with a CoD title.

Wait, so is a just the exact same zombie mode from WaW with a slightly revamped engine, or will they actually be expanding it in a meaningful way (new maps, weapons, features, etc.)?
