BLAAAAAR JOYSTIQ YOU'RE LATE POSTING THIS THE UPDATE WENT UP LIKE 40 MINUTES AGO
RAGERAGERAGERAGERAGERAGERAGE

Seriously though, I can appreciate the service with which we PS3 and PSP owners are being provided with, but the update going live at 8 o'clock (my time)? IMO, that is just way too late

Ya, not much for me either, even if my PS3 didn't YLOD out on me a little while ago, but still, I was super pumped for the Ghost of Sparta, and so far, it's delivered :)

@King Johngie the Fourth Because you have to have all of this right at the very second it drops? Get some patience. Does it matter if you have to download it tomorrow, even? Hell, weren't the updates not even on Tuesday before but later in the week?

Like I said, I appreciate and value the service we are being provided. However, we are their customers. This will sound rude, but they have an obligation to take the best care possible of us, and to make sure that our experience with their product that we paid for is a good one. Sure, no "official" time of day has been declared, but for Sony to deliver us goods that we have been promised at such a ridiculous hour?
It's like ordering food at a restaurant. Your waiter may not specifically tell you when your food will be ready, yet we all believe that some sort of commom sense will prevail, as it usually does, and our food will be served to us in a timely matter. If, unfortunately it is not, we expect a decent reason as to why, and I have yet to hear one. It's just disappointing.

I really don't see why you have to download everything right now. There's a whole week until the next update.

Sony never set a time, or promised us anything. So I really don't give a rats ass when it updates, as long as it updates.

Your post with the restaurant is stupid and totally wrong!!! You got your order already => the PS3!!! The PSN stuff is (in your example) the FREE drinks they offer you additionally, while you're busy eating! And you cannot expect, that they bring you a new drink, as soon as your old drink is empty!!! If u don't like it, buy a break box and "pay, just to be able to enter the restaurant. Doesn't matter, if u like the food, or not"!!!

Yeah, but even on PSN, why did this come so late?? Like it's several hours later than normal. Because of the Holiday weekend? Seems odd...

@Dizazter sometimes i wonder if only one person is in charge for the stores updates. It would make sense if the person was fiddling with other crap and not stick to give us a meaningful schedule. I mean shit is this really hard? Just program the store in a store in a way where one simple little click will activate all the updates and bam we can stick to a schedule that way. I dont even want to think if sony takes last minute changes which is causing all these delays. Its not professional. Looks like sony is reliving its high school days of last minute projects.

Also, I guess that Terrorover is a bit of a cool update, although I feel like its more of a $10 game than a $15 one.

It is extremely unprofessional. Many people on the Playstation Blog are making the excuse that it was so late because of the Labor Day weekend. Yet at the same time yesterday, when it actually was Labor Day, Nintendo still came out with their update at the regular time. I wonder if Sony even reads their blog. Or rather, if they even care.

RE5 DLC, how long is it? How good is it?

$5.99 for 2-3 hrs (I will prolly play em 2/3 times each) would be good, I think.

The Ghost of Sparta demo is impresive to say the least! As much as I want some new and beefier psp hardware, it is amazing what it can still do.

I know a lot of people hate PSN+, but it has been paying off for me. Wipeout HD, Critter Crunch, Mushroom Wars, the Warhawk DLC are all games that I considered buying, but I did not buy them because of my lack of money at that time. Add Qore, minis, PSX games and other freebies, I am a very satisfied PSN+ subscriber.

As a sidenote, late update is late. :(

Haven't played it yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't be good. My understanding was if you liked RE5 you will like the dlc. And for $6 you can't really go wrong.

$16 DLC for free, is bad?

If I had PS+ I would have about $40, maybe $50 worth of content by now.

I made this special list, just for you. No I wouldnt, eh? REALLY?

Well, lets see:

June 29th:
WipEout HD ($19.99)

July 6th:
Qore Episode 26 ($2.99)
Super Stardust HD Team add-on Pack ($2.50, instead of $4.99 - $2.49 saved)

July 20th:
Heavy Rain Origami Swan Avatar ($0.49?)

July 27th:
Critter Crunch ($6.99)
Syphon Filter ($5.99)

August 10th:
Qore Episode 27 ($2.99)

September 1st:
Qore Episode 28: September 2010 ($ 2.99)
Warhawk: Booster Combo ($15.99)

By my count, thats like.. $60.91, $68.83 with the amount I get taxed. Add in $22.59 for the fact I would have to go purchase Warhawk again and im still at $46.24 saved an I would only be on my fourth month of PS+.

But sadly, I did not do that cause I didnt have $50 at the time. Now, lesson of the day? Dont tell someone they wouldnt when they know they would. And all of that, to me, is stuff I want. Except the Warhawk pack, I dont really need that. But still, without it thats $44.92 ($50.76 with tax) in savings.

What does it take to make you gamers happy?

Can you seriously tell me that you could get through all this content in a week? God forbid something not be targeted directly at you as that seems to invalidate the whole update.

I guess you guys just have an excessive amount of free time. You have it so damn good and you don't even know.

You spent $50 on TWELVE months of content, not 1, or 2. 12. TWELVE MONTHS. I wrote you a list above from the day it started to now, an im at $60.

So you know what? SHUT UP.

I'll agree with you that the U.S PS+ update is disappointing - unless you own a PSP.
Still, my comment was directed more towards people complaining about the free update - 4 playable demos alone makes for a good amount of content.
Surely it's an improvement on the 80's and 90's when we had to buy magazines in order to score "free" demos etc.

Ontario, Canada here. 2 hrs from Toronto. It's beside Warkawk and its 60 min trial. Top right corner for me in PS+

I'll check out TerRover demo and see if I think it's worth it. Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 at $4.99 might be a pickup.

Of course and watching Pulse is fun for seeing Christina Lee.
