So it's perfectly normal for a young boy detective to be dressed like a super hero in public?

@Nolan North

"Of course, it being a Disney title, the characters are super stylized"

That says it all right there, man. It's Disney. Why were you expecting realism?

Not exactly expecting realism, just wondering why the rest of the playable characters don't look like they're going trick or treating on a zeppelin

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say welcome to Joystiq, Taylor. Great review and I love the fact Joystiq invited a freelancer to write an article. Is this one-time deal or is this going to be something we can expect more frequently?

@MystileArmor

This guy is from Berkeley, one of the top schools in all of the world, and hes writing for Joystiq! I think Joystiq might be getting classier by the day. Its time to bust out champagne every time I read an article from here. Anyway I'll also welcome aboard Taylor.

In cased you missed it, Jeff & Ryan over at GiantBomb did a Quick Look of this game. The writing and VO is great, on par with any modern cartoon. If I had need for a family-friendly party game this would be my number one choice.

Good word-of-mouth around the 'net led me to pick this up
on the weekend and the wife and I spent about 4 very enjoyable hours finishing the co-op story mode over three nights.
We're both looking forward to trying the competitive mode next.
My only complaint would be that my copy came only with a French language instruction book. Maybe that's why I could only find it at EB Games here in Canada i.e. copies have been recalled to add the English manual.

I had this pegged as something worthwhile from the beginning. Should do well for Disney.

If the minigames were better this would be pretty awesome.

Glad someone decided to finally do some sort of review. This was one of those sleeper titles that caught my attention when they first announced it. I needed to learn a bit more about it before I decide to bite the bullet.

I'll definitely be picking this game up once it drops in price a bit.

The word "Party" conjures the idea of a dumb game played by 4 people of various races and ages, but this game looks surprisingly interesting and better yet, funny. The Giant Bomb Quick Look was terrific, and hilarious.

Wait... we can have yellow stars on a game review, but no red and green arrows on the posts regarding console sales? Joystiq, you're evil.

I guess I'm mistaken and they must have started doing the arrows again too. Joystiq, you're evil for taking away something we can complain about.

This is actually on my want list, but once again, probably when the price drops some. It sounds like a lot of fun, but I have trouble paying full price for a game.
