@Brockobama123

Calling Witch Hunt the "best DAO DLC" isn't saying much.

Comparing every aspect of DA:O to ME2, if they pull over some people from the ME2 team to work on DA2 I might just enjoy it past the initial "ooo shiny" playthrough.

I bought this as a knee jerk reaction following Mass Effect 2's Liara DLC. If I can get up the stones to tackle this one I guess I'll consider myself forearmed for an unresolved plot.

That's disappointing. Though meeting a character name Finn would be fun... on account of my elf being named Finn.

@smcn

There's something about DA:O... I liked it the first time I played it, but if I didn't play it for a few days and tried to play it again I didn't like it and would have to start again.
After a few times I gave up lol.

I might have had fun with this if the gameplay wasn't broken at high levels. My warrior that I used through the main campaign and Awakenings is so strong at this point that he's just plain invincible, even on Nightmare. To make it worse, the promise of resolving Morrigan's story thread is just a big, fat lie.

Stay away from Witch Hunt, buy ME2's Shadow Broker instead.

@Floppypants

I had the exact same problem! While I usually enjoy being able to 2-hit everything, it really breaks games like Dragon Age. Saying stay away from Witch Hunt is the smartest thing I've ever heard... ever.

If it were free or better... Or even without the bugs, It'd be worth it. But it just destroys the greatness that was Dragon Age.

Thanks, Bioware!

@Brockobama123 I can tell your one of those people who go my opinion is better then yours or if you don't agree with me then your average..

Not everyone is going to agree with your opinion dude it's a fact of life

I say Mass Effect 2 is a shooter not everyone is going to agree with me (though most will) and they will say oh it's an RPG not a shooter dumb-ass or some other derogatory name/insult..

Get used to it kid..

@Brockobama123 Get over yourself dude. Just because people enjoy watching a mindless action flick doesn't make them "ignorant". The level of ignorance required for a statement so full of bullshit is a million times higher than it takes to watch Transformers 2. God forbid people do something that doesn't require intense focus and thought for entertainment. By the way, Mass Effect 2 is nowhere near on the same level as Transformers 2. Asshole.

"but addresses the big questions so vaguely that it feels like the game's just trying to dodge the conversation"

Product of the choose your own path/story mechanic. This is why story heavy games should avoid this crap. It's a hindrance to story and character development.

The Dragon Age team should take notes from the Mass Effect team on how to do DLC. Witch Hunt was mediocre, but Lair of the Shadow Broker was awesome (if over-priced, as always).

@Brockobama123

While i can see the point of voting down most of Brockobama123 posts why vote down the one that says that ME2 wasn't that good, hes voicing an opinion, nout wrong with that. Or are we suddenly in a place where you are not allowed to speak your mind?

Mass effect 2 was ok but not excellent :/ It was basically gears of mass effect (and according to the stats, since a VERY high percentage played as soldier, it was even played as gears of mass effect). While some of the sequence were funny there was some major problems. Why the hell can't i go back down to a planet when i have my own ship? why are credits such a limited resource? Why can't i sell stuff ? What were they thinking with the resource gathering (at least let me sell the excess for cash).

Instead of making the game better from 1 they streamlined it to the point it removed a bunch of the fun, at least they kept hte conversation choices in , but they still seemed to leave it so you have to stay pragon or renegade or you won't be able to get the choices and options later in the game :/ (odd for a game based on "choices").

Thats my opinion anyway.

*Spoiler Alert*

So, uh, wtf did the book say at the end? She's all "Oh I left you something important in that book over there" and then it just ends... The end of the article makes it sound like you're supposed to be able to continue after the game is actually over so are you supposed to be able to read what it says after the game is over?

Finished this DLC earlier today and it left me pretty much underwhelmed. I feel like I didn't learn anything new from this experience. Morrigan is just as cryptic as she was at the end of DA:O. Maybe over time we may be able to appriciate this more, when DA 2 is released.

I find it a bit weird to compare this to ME 2. They
are two different games with different approaches. I love both games very much and can appriciate them for what they are. Thankfully DA is such a good game that bad DLC doesn't lessen the enjoyment.

I named my Dog Wrex, Barkspawn is way too cheesy. Heh.

Its a major rippoff, Moragan was the big cliffhanger for most of us, we were expecting to complete when DA2 was going to come out. To only find out that DA2 is a complete departure from DA and has nothing to do with our characters we spent so much time on. Then we find out its a DLC which already bummed me since DLC sucks for DA, THEN the DLC is utter crap, 2 hours of random running around just to meet her for less than a minute with NOTHING resolved or questions answered. Its BS like this that is why bioware has fallen from one of the best companies to the worst in my mind. I am soooo glad EA didn't change bioware. /sarcasm

I completely agree with this review, I thought this DLC was a sad shadow of what it could have been. In fact, I didn't enjoy for the most part Awakenings either. Neither allowed any real character interaction / development even though they had a lot of potential. Thumbs down on this one Bioware.

Completely agree with you... was the biggest waste of money and time... if you compare this to the DLC: Shadow Broker for Mass Effect 2... it's definitely heaven and hell... Really disappointed with bioware.

Shame on bioware!
