Halo: Reach 'Deliver Hope' live-action short released in full
63
Soul-stirring music? Check! Gigantic battles and fancy special effects? Check check! That's right, folks -- it's another Halo: Reach live-action short. This time, the original "Deliver Hope" video is extended to over two minutes of apocalyptic action.
These videos are often a frustrating reminder of the Halo movie that never was -- but we can't fault them for instilling the desire to crush some Grunts.

That's one reason Halo is so popular. It's not JUST the games. It's the books and all the stories depicting the rest of the 'universe' they've created with Halo. The games, admittedly, lose a bit of the epicness of these ads because, let's face it, could you imagine playing through that ad? In slo-mo, with soft music? The 13 year old kids playing the game would HATE it, and there goes Microsoft's money.
Honestly, ODST was a great game because it was fan service. It was a story that had nothing to do with, well, anything important. Things are the same with and without that story, but it's the added depth the story adds to the rest of the Halo 'universe' that makes it worthwhile. Also Nathan Fillion and Adam Baldwin.
Halo is awesome not because of John or Cortana, or even the Halos themselves. It's great because there's so many smaller aspects of the 'universe' that people can associate with and latch onto. The ODST's, the insurrection before the Human-Covenant war, the Spartans that didn't make it, the civilians in the midst of all the horrible things happening. Halo is great because it's deep and well thought out, at least as a whole. So maybe the games don't live up to the ads, but as a whole everything within the Halo 'universe' comes together as a world people want to get lost in.
Well, all that, or teabagging n00bs on live is fun.

At this point you'd be an idiot not make a halo movie. Make the move Bungie / Microsoft. You have a HUGE fan base! Think of all the $$$!!!

New gameplay movie on XBL, with Marty and someone else playing the opening.

This short was much better than the other ones, particularly because if you look closely enough you can find all the members of Noble team. Jorge is firing is gun, Emile is throwing a grenade, Jun is the sniper, and Carter is doing an assassination move on an elite, very nice touch.

This is my favorite live action Halo short ever. I get chills whenever I see it. Maybe also because I read The Fall of Reach.

The ad is really beautiful and captivating. It makes you want to be in the fight. I wish the games, which I do enjoy a lot, had as much of a feel to them. Honestly, Halo screams for a movie and Reach is the perfect place for that movie to begin.
