Were you in the mood to virtually grapple with Jason "Mayhem" Miller, and disappointed that he wasn't in the UFC game? You're in luck -- EA Sports MMA will be available in limited demo form on September 28 for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The demo features Miller against fellow middleweight Jake Shields, along with current Strikeforce heavyweight champ Alistair Overeem against former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley, with both matches overseen by the great Big John McCarthy.
The demo will also have a quick tutorial and information on the game's other modes (including that EA Sports Live Broadcast service), and "sharing the demo with friends," EA says, will unlock "Classic" Randy Couture as a playable character in the full game. Just three short weeks from now, you'll throw down in the Octag -- whoops, we mean ring or cage (sorry Dana!). In the meantime, let these screenshots soothe your fightin' rage.

THIS a game Im super pumped for.
Just from the videos Ive found around the web, the fluidity is just spot on.
From the transitions, to the grapples, down to the submissions, its all there.
As Ive said in previous posts, they've definitely put in the research time for this. Even though they shunned Dana White initially(blow hard), they've realized the huuuge demographic for this type of sport, and are going full steam ahead with it. Combined with the fact that they have SKATE and Fight Night under their belt, Both with an EXCELLENT control scheme, IMO, that just seems RIGHT, as far as joystick input goes.
Day One, Midnight.

@butaneko
Thats what Im talking about. Almost a copy-and-paste job from 2009.
This game cant be judged from pictures alone, you have to see it in motion. I remember seeing videos of ken shamrock fighting and you could see him trip over his opponent on the ground. The attention to detail is there, it just has an uphill battle, since UFC undisputed OWNS the MMA genre essentially.
This game is going to be a contender, just wait for it.
