@Faenix

I bet I will be the only person to post, who liked some parts of it. Only part I didnt enjoy majorly was the weapons, and the gunplay. But thats prolly more cause I disliked the weapons

@Faenix Deleted the Owl game because it kept crashing my system and wouldnt even start, "Enjoying quantum Theory" is a strong and mostly incorrect term.

The graphics are nice but the linear hallways make battles seem like they would end instantly if the enemies would just rush you all at once. And the boss at the end is either the simplest thing ever or the cheapest. it killed me five times in 15 seconds and then I turned around and found his weak spot allowing me to kill him with 3 shots. The cover system works like any other I suppose aside from the level occasionally spitting up convenient but fragile cover to hide behind for like 3 seconds before it gets shot to pieces, but feels awkward, not anywhere near the ease of Uncharted.

@Faenix

I hate when cover is strategically placed around for your convenience, I mean it's not every day I get into a firefight in a busy mall and find a convenient means of cover made out of thick sandbags to shoot from behind. ¬_¬

I deleted the Owl game much faster. How can they make a flight game without Sixaxis controls? And I love Owls too *sadface*

@Enigma7ic Same here. 3 demos of utter shit games I've never heard of, all in the same update, and I think Quantum Theory is a PSN + exclusive for Europeans .

No.

Simple as that... even tho i would like to have an experiencie like Gears Of War on my PS3, Quantum Theory doesn't come close to it. Sure it resambles a lot of aspect, but it doesn't get there...

just played the demo. i'm still not sure what to think. it's better than i expected it to be- but at the same time: there are many, many flaws.

nice art design, though. this game sure has an interesting look to it. even if the main character looks lame.

Is this the so called "Gears of War" knock off?

@The MARIO Yes, it's exactly like Gears but with a terrible cover system, and no fun.

Ok, so if I got this right: The gameplay element that is supposed to make this game anything more than a Gears of War knockoff, namely the co-op moves with the female character - consist solely of throwing her square in the face of these Space Orcs?

Well can't say I'm disappointed, as I wasn't expecting much...

I was looking forward to this and it was fairly disappointing. The weapons are nothing special, their crosshairs are ridiculous and level design is pretty weak. Though I may still end up renting due to it being co-op.

I checked a game retail site for release dates yesterday for upcoming games, noticed this game, checked out the achievements... and there are a lot of multiplayer achievements and that put me right off with out even trying the demo..

Don't worry 360 fans, you're not missing anything no need to glance over, just go back to playing Gears.

Anyone considering deleting things on their hard drive to play this.....don't waste your time and effort ¬_¬.

Wasn't this game announced as PS3 exclusive? I must have missed the news when it was announced for 360 as well.

I think most people with a 360 already know Gears is the game to get if you want to play something like this. "Teckoei" (can we call them that yet? "Tecmoei" maybe?) is wasting their time even considering a 360 release for this.

Heck, PS3 owners might prefer Uncharted over this well. Not the same theme, but close enough in mechanics.

The demo sucked. Really bad. Graphics were nasty, gameplay was boring, especially since the movement of your character is so slow and the cover system is spotty. The design of the levels shown in the demo were just lame. Basically just a big hallway of enemies the entire time. Never buying it. I wouldn't even buy it if it was $5 or less.

Man, I'd heard this game was a Gears clone, but I had no idea just how much of a knockoff it was. This is MUCH closer to Gears than, say, Uncharted is, or SC: Conviction is, or Killzone 2 is. Those all had a cover system, but Quantum Theory has THE EXACT SAME system as Gears of War.

Obviously, some of that just comes from the fact that this is an Unreal Engine 3 game, and the protagonist looks like a rejected version of Marcus Fenix. And they use the exact same animations for sprinting, taking cover, mantling over cover, etc. And the exact same controls (oh, wait, they have a different button for dodging). And you make the same sound when you run and take cover. And the pop-up shooting is identical.

I mean, it's more colorful than Gears. And it has that weird melee system that's impossible to understand from playing the demo. But it's still staggeringly close to Gears, although it's much, much floatier and the incidental dialogue is (somehow) even dumber. Really surprising.

I thought this game looked interesting when I first heard about it and I tried to like it.. believe me.. but I just couldn't. I got to agree with the above posters. The graphics were worse than I expected and didn't look as great as screenshots I previously saw. It did copy Gears a lot.. even with little popup that shows up when you want to swap a weapon for one on the ground. That could have been forgivable I suppose if the game was actually good.. but it just wasn't. I enjoyed the Vanquish demo so much more
