@Themoreyouknow well for one thing, I have no idea what either of those two things. The only thing i could conjure them to be is something similar to the underachiever mod in WoW? Secondly, if I really did care about them only for epeen enhancement, what would be the point of cheating? What little false pride there is in achievements would be wholly obliterated by cheating like that. Besides, i dont do stuff like play Avatar the burning Earth for 1000 points, i do the achievements that are fun, for fun

I started my first new game in Chrono Cross on Tuesday after like seven years of it just sitting on the shelf giving me dirty looks. I think I'm just before my trek to the Hydra Marshes to save Kid. So yeah, I'll put a few hours CC's way this weekend.

Otherwise I've been playing a lot of NBA Jam TE on SNES with my brother and some friends ... can't stop!

Chrono Cross is either like beautiful, passionate sex in video game form or the most dull and condescending experience you've had since that one time you sat through a meeting of your high school's philosophy club. It all comes down to taste.

It's excellent. Still one of my favourite rpgs and PSOne games. It's biggest problem is arguably it's loose connections to Chrono Trigger, and on its own merit, its simplified design. You don't get experience, you only 'level up' after completing events / defeating boss-type enemies. My biggest complaint with it though is the amount of party members, and the arduous item management that goes with swapping them out or temporarily losing them to events.

It's got a great story though and some of the best music ever in a video game, and it's a fair bit longer than Chrono Trigger with a lot more side missions (thanks to the 45 odd party members). Definitely worth a play.

And Ys Seven on the PSP.

And... that's about it, really. Still debating on whether to not to purchase Halo: Reach in a few days. =/

I am going to be trying to survive the wait for the unveiling of EA's Suda51 game, easily my most anticipated game announcement of the year.

And I guess I'll probably also be playing the rest of my current handful of games: Twilight Princess, Resident Evil 4 (again), Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, and Chrono Cross.

Just beat Shattered Dimensions(awesome, best Spider-Man game ever even though it's a bit repetitive. Especially awesome if you're a fan of the amazing Noir Spider-Man run), Batman Brave and the Bold(another awesome one, working on unlocks with the nephew), playing Birth By Sleep, Lego Universe Beta, and Cataclysm Beta

But most of my days are doing English homework. My English professor seems to like to double everything my other profs assign

Finishing Other M. If i had to rate it in the Metroid hierarchy, i'd put it fourth from the top, after Prime, Super, and Corruption, and just ahead of Metroid II.

The ending definitely came out of left field, but unlike many, i mostly enjoyed the plot. The now-infamous Ridley scene really didn't bother me, but the one where Adam shoots Samus definitely did (the logic of that scene was all out of whack)

But the combat was butter-smooth, the boss fights were epic, and the difficulty curve was just right, and the sense of Metroid progression really comes together nicely despite the odd authorization method.

My only other problem was those stupid scenes where they made you look for something, and i really hated that they incorporated such a scene as the last thing you do before the credits roll (well, the before the post-game, anyway)

You liked Metroid II better than Fusion, Echoes and Zero Mission?? Wow.

Also, if you like the combat in Other M, you MUST try out Ninja Gaiden for Xbox/PS3. It has become one of my favorite action games of all time.

I think I'm near the end of Other M. I'm making a run through now, to search for items.

I'd probably rate Other M similar to your hierarchy. Although Zero mission would be higher. Still, it's a fantastic game.

Playing Spider Man: Shattered Dimensions non stop, I won't spoil it but this game has to have one of the funniest boss fights ever. It's really not a bad start, it could've used some extra polish but for a untested studio they definitely show signs of something good if not great. Oh and Red Dead and Dragon Age.

The dark tower video game thing probably won't happen. Stephen King has said he doesn't like the idea (see the FAQs on his web page). I don't necessarily disagree with him, because I could see how having the game player able to make choices substantially different from the ones Roland would make could drastically alter the vision King had for the story. On the other hand, perhaps if you played as a new character who is somehow pulled into the Dark Tower universe it could work, and that might be the approach they take to convince King as well. I'm not sure playing a new character would be as cool as getting to be Roland, but it could be interesting. So, I take it back. Maybe the game will happen?
