yes, i really dont care playing the (slightly) "inferior" version if it means that i get to experience the game at all, and while i dont own a ps3 (a major factor in not wanting it for the ps3), i want it on the controller i prefer and with the achievements that will add to my ever mounting gamerscore.
and thank you blade, for sticking up for me and all of gamerdom while i was away from a computer.

Back when the PS3 kept getting these 'inferior' versions, I was surprised when I'd buy them and find the game looked great. Even when I'd already played the 360 version a few times. That was the main reason those arguments got so old... they basically had no merit.
I'm sure FF XIII on the 360 is just fine. Don't be surprised if you get the same deal soon.

Probably because there hasn't been a new Ratchet and Clank game in that time. I waited to get mine off ebay a month ago for $20. I'm waiting for the new one so I can wait for it to drop to $20 also. That, or LBP 2

this is perfect, i picked up FF13 on 360 but have been wanting to try it out on the PS3 ever since i bought one. between selling the xbox version on craigslist and this amazon deal, i probably won't have to spend any money to switch over.

Bah! I kind of want to get it for that price but I am also unsure if I will actually play it. Reach is out in a couple of days and Vanquish, Dead Rising 2, Fable 2 and New Vegas are right around the corner. Even at that price I don't know if I will get my money's worth simply because I will be playing other games. I think I may have waited to long to pick it up. A great deal though no doubt.

Wow....there seems to be no sensible and just reasoning for all the hate FF13 seem to get these days. I've played all FF's from 7 - 13 and FFXIII is not a bad RPG at all nor is it the worst FF ever. But thats last bit is my opinion. I got well worth my $60 out of FFXIII and a platinum trophy I enjoyed getting. SE did good and I commend them for their efforts and meeting the call of millions of their fans who cried out for a new FF on current gen systems. The omission of towns and an airship with world travel isn't enough to make this a bad FF. You'll be an arse and hard pressed to say that this is the first FF that had a linear story plot, all have done it as far as the main story goes. Its beyond me how any true JRPG gamer cannot enjoy this title and find it a well added piece to their RPG collection. This is a steal @ $20.....

I've only played a little bit of FF7 (at a friends house who owned a ps2) and Final Fantasy XIII....
FFXIII is definitely one of the best games I've played this generation. I rank it up there with Lost Odyssey as among the most heart wrenching games I've played on my 360.
I really truly do not understand the hate. Unlike CoD, Uncharted 1 and 2, and other games it wasn't hyped up to epic proportions.
Its a great game....enough said. I don't see why the lack of a world ship and a multiple towns makes it the worst game ever.

@Edenane The battle system wasn't simplistic. Up until the end (where it's a one-strategy crapshoot, just like every other FF), I found myself enjoying it immensely. I think people were just really turned off by how different it was: it forced you to be quick about your decisions, while older ones let you take things somewhat leisurely. Every battle inside the Palamecia and Orphan's Cradle was a satisfying challenge, though; you had to go in with a strategy but be quick on your toes about changing it if the need arose. The complexity wasn't so much in the number crunching as it was in feeling out when you needed to do what to survive; it was more visceral, like a wrestling as opposed to a chess match.
