Heavy Rain patches in Move support September 22
38
PS3's atmospheric adventure game Heavy Rain will receive a free patch on September 22 to support the Move peripheral. The PlayStation Blog notes the patch will download automatically when users start the game, adding actions that "mimic real-world motions" -- like knocking on doors (pictured). For those interested in experiencing this, you'll have to pick up the Move controller on September 19.
The PSN will also add a Heavy Rain Move demo on September 28, featuring two of the early levels in the game. As the update is all about adding Move support, don't expect a pronunciation patch for "ore-A-gammy killer."

Might be cool. Not sure if I'd want to play the whole game over again though, just to get the new Move experience.
And OMG, the accents on this game are so terrible. "Ore-A-gammy"....so true
Jaaaaaaaayson........JAY-SUHN!

@RadiantViper The only redeeming factor was that Shelby sort of sounded like William Shatner. At least in my opinion.

I played the game when it first came out, and got to the part where you had to (I hope this isn't a spoiler) cook dinner for your kid and tuck him into bed. I just could not get into the game at all. Too slow and reminded me way to much of some type of TV crime drama I wouldn't be interested in watching. maybe when I get Move I will rent the game again and see if it's more interesting to me with waggling and stuff.

I'm sure the "ore-A-gammy" thing is down to how some Europeans hear an American/New York accent.. it reminded of that Bugsy Malone film that was acted out by kids

hoping to pick this up finally (managed to avoid any spoilers so far) to try out the move controls; i've got my move on release day delivery from amazon, yay! if the move controls suck, i'll play it with the controller.

Would have much preferred additional DLC stories to Move support...

True, but it's free and isn't being re-released as a ultimate, super, gold, ultra-final edition either.

It's not? Aww, I was really hoping they'd throw it in and knock 20 bucks off the price.

I've been looking forward to playing this again with Move since it's release. Truth be told, I wish there would be more episodic dlc too. Oh and trophy support in the dlc would be nice.

Heavy Rain was the most Intriguing and amazing game I played this year so far. I wish that there was more content for the game but oh well. I actually am curious how Heavy Rain plays w/ Move. Even though, I've already beaten the game and seen all the endings on YouTube, I will play the game to try out the Move controls to see whether they are good additions to the game or just distractions.
By the way, I read on IGN that w/ RE5 Gold, you don't shoot w/ the trigger, you shoot w/ the Move button. I hope this game doesn't have unnatural movements like that.

the control setup is pretty much exactly the same as it was for RE4 on the Wii, which is amazing. Yes, i wish they had an option to map the trigger to shooting, but I played through the wii version with the setup and it was fine. I think they played it safe and went with mapping it like the successful wii version rather than trying something new. I wish they gave both options.

You are about 6 month late to the Game sir, this comment is so old.
But back to topic, I think move is starting to look better and better, I will have to order it tonight and finally finish Hard Rain.

Whoa, my apologies, Mr. Timely.
I thought people might get a kick out of this video. I hadn't seen it until recently, when I started playing the game.

Yes, because that's exactly what I want to do. I want to experience what it's like to knock on doors.....with a baton in my hand.....that glows....yeah.

When I eventually pick up the move I'll try out this gem. One of my favorite platinums because it didn't get repetitive (storywise)

Don't you usually use your TV while you waggle? Or is it you computer? Figured you'd have a good set up be now.

Question for all those who played/finished the game:
I had the ending spoiled for me yesterday. Still worth picking up? I'm intrigued by the concept and gameplay, but wondering if knowing who the killer is now ruins the game.

Yeah, it was suposed to be cheeky.
But in all seriousness, your Move should work fine whilst sitting down on your bed. Only a few tech demos do motion tracking, and none of the current crop of upcoming games really support that. The majority only track the controllers themselves, with minimal arm tracking. You should be golden with your setup as is. Down the road though, you might need to switch things up for a certain game.
