Mafia 2 is top UK earner for third week

Take-Two's Mafia 2 whacked the competition to hold the top of the UK sales charts for a third week in a row. Making that feat even more surprising is the fact that Chart-Track notes the mob epic had a 58 percent drop in sales for the week. Second place went to Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2, which, after premiering the week before, flew up six spots with the launch of the PS3 version. Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days suppressed the rest, despite a 50 percent sales drop, to take the bronze.

Three new titles entered the top ten: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and R.U.S.E. took sixth through eighth, respectively. Red Dead Redemption just barely hung onto the top ten, but the real shock is that Just Dance took eleventh place -- we think that's the lowest it's gone all year.

Well.... Mafia II is a good game. Not personally what I expected but still a good game.

Normally I like a short game to plow through once and a while, but the lack of ANY side quests made this too short.

I never played the first Mafia so I had no idea it was so linear but that's cool. The reason why I said the game wasn't what I expected is cause, to me, it had too much driving and not enough shooting. I still enjoyed the game and I'm looking forward to more DLC for it.

Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days....third? Trust me... developers need to show more love the the UK market. They will give any game a financial chance. From the hypes up good titles to the "how the hell did this see the light of day" ones....

It's mainly because its been under £20 pretty much since a few days after releasing lol
£20 = $36ish dollars i guess

K&L2 had it's price slashed massively here so I guess a lot of people are picking it up since it's cheap. Like, it started out at the standard £40 and was availible for £18 the week after.

Mafia 2 is a very good game. The graphics aren't the best, but the presentation, story, and game play are all top notch.

I like the trailer although I think it´s not to creative. But, now talking about the game playing I'm glad seeing to nice graphics. Maybe I'll found some guy to buy me the game

I get the feeling there will be a sales drop for these games next week.

I enjoyed Mafia 2 as well i played mafia 1 on ps2 what a loading mess that was i don't mind loading screen sometimes but, it seemed everywhere you go loading screen were everywhere it was a good game though. I thought the graphics were very good in Mafia 2 and I liked the story too i didn't mind driving around it has great one liners and some injected humor to lighten the mood at times. The two dlc released for it are good too hope there is more dlc released soon

The UK must have a shortage of good games because there is no reason Mafia 2 should be a best seller for 3 weeks in a row. I feel sorry for the people who shelled out 60 plus bucks for that short repetitive excuse for a game.

@ChiTownRuler23 Seconded. I beat Mafia II in one sitting, got up, got in the car and drove to return it. Fortunately, I was able to get a full refund.

I accidentally pre-ordered kingdom hearts twice, and neither copy arrived yet! Can't wait.

I like Mafia II accept for all the driving and if you are going to make me drive all over the place you really shouldn't have the police worry about you running light, speeding etc. That is really taking away from the experience for me.
