THQ today published a "core games" release calendar, highlighted by the revised May 2011 date given for Red Faction: Armageddon, which pushes it out of a crowded first quarter -- but just a few months beyond the initially proposed date. The calendar spans the publisher's fiscal 2012 (April 2011 – March 2012) and also includes a Spring 2011 release window for MX vs. ATV Alive, followed by the planned summertime launch of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. A new Saints Row game (or games?) and a WWE iteration are expected next fall.
Additionally, an upcoming UFC title has been slated for Winter 2012 (January–March 2012). Of course, all dates are "subject to change," THQ notes.

Man, I know everybody talks about the onslaught of games this holiday, but compared to Q1, (Q2? I never understand that stuff) it feels like there's NOTHING coming out.

2011 is gonna be big but there's still some games releasing the rest of this year. I have like 10 games on my radar from October to the last week of November and there's still some big sales to occur as well. I think half are must-haves so far... I just know I'm gonna be adding plenty to my catalogue of games this Holiday season and 2011.

@MLC No I know, that's the thing, even with so many games coming out this season, it is simply monstrously overshadowed by the tidal wave of games next year.

And don't forget Devils Third by April 2013.
Lol! I consider that game "TBA".

Red Faction: Armageddon and Saint's Row 3 will be day one purchases for me.
My character in Saint's Row 2 looked so freaking weird, it made me laugh every time a cut scene showing a close-up of his face came up. I hope there is a character import option!

'With shooters like Shooter 3, Shooter 2, Future Shooter, and that other Shooter 3, Red Shooter seems like just another shooter compared to these other shooters.'

Oh boy...Saints Row....In addition to the games being really good, I think we can expect more Santa Claus outfits this time around.

@Haelie of those games, only Killzone and Resistance are really anything alike other than the inclusion of guns

Saints Row 2 was awesome with the way the co-op was done (even though system link and cutscenes threw things off a tad). If 3 maintains co-op at least the way SR2 did, I'll buy it easily.

For the love of gaming THQ, PLEASE get rid of those "tribal" tattoos! While you're at it give him some hair and personality.

I think it's great that this game got moved to May. Lots of people missed Red Faction Guerrilla, so hopefully if this game is as good as (if not better) than that one, people will actually play this game.

@CoCoKooL well i can see why it was one of the most overlooked games this year, considering it came out last year in June

@ben linus How can you even compare Red Faction to those games, is beyond comprehension.
If you can compare it to any game it's with GTA or even Saints Row, ill grant you that much. Now comparing it with stealth games or heavy duty FPS
games is not very accurate.
You may not like Red Faction but don't compare with FPS or Stealth games. It's so much more than that.
On a personal note, this delay decision is really going to screw me tomorrow. Management is buying shares and then dumping this sort of news, it doesn't make any sense. I am really concerned about the future of THQI and i hope they merge or get taken over by someone that knows what to do with their IP.

I always put Red Faction Guerrilla in the higher ups. It's better than any Bad Company, due to the ACTUAL destruction system instead of the tacked on one DICE made. It stood up there in multiplayer enjoyment with Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 1.

I can't wait for Saint's Row 3 and the next Red Faction. THQ/Volition know how to make fun games!

Holy crap, I read that headline as Saints Row: Armageddeon, and then made the mental connection between that and the image to mean that SR3 would be throwing us the ultimate curveball
What? The guy in the pic does look like a gang member

I love me some Saints Row 2, and hope the third game is more like that than the first one.

Saint's Row, with a little more polish, up-to-date graphics and performance, could be a serious hit. Loved everything in SR2, except the way it looked.
