There was actually a person in the top 200 who was map hacking.

Maphacking got pretty bad in the beta.

Every time someone would post a message saying someone was maphacking, with a replay as proof (maphacks are painfully obvious on replays. If they are clicking shit they can't see, they are maphacking) a ton of people would always say "There aren't any maphacks in beta!", only to be shown a thread with a dozen or so maphackers with replays as proof. Some would even brag about it. Ok buddy, that's real smart there. Get banned from the beta, and any future Blizzard betas. To do what, make your record look good in the beta?

There was also a bug where if you were playing 2v2, and your partner disconnected on the load screen, the game would count him in, but never spawn his base. So even if you were destroyed, the game would never end.

how can they ban anyone forever? They have our SSN on file or something?

@JoeBruin They don't ban you forever in a way. Since you are connected to Battle.net and need to put in a serial code for the game they just ban your Battle.net ID. So pretty much you gotta buy a new starcraft 2 and create a new account on Battle.net

CD-Key- and perhaps also machine-ban. They do have tools to read out your hardware and may go ahead and ban your entire hardware, too, so you would have to switch some parts out to be able to play ever again. Atleast that's the case for Punkbuster's hardware-bans I think. Might be wrong with that.

This Terran player certainly feels awkward. Am I still invited to your birthday party?

If not I'll just jetpack over your fence and shoot your cake before you can react :P

...you'd think as much time they spend trying to crack the game open to screw over everyone....they would just use that time, instead, to just play the damn game.

Who knows?? They might just actually get *good* at it rather than some damn edit doing it for them.
