Epic Mickey making a splash on Wii November 30

Warren Spector's visually striking take on Disney's ancient rodent mascot, Epic Mickey, finally has an official release date. As revealed in a recent Entertainment Weekly article and confirmed to us by Disney, the paint-stained platformer will be released in North America on November 30. (CVG reports that the game will make its way to Continental Europe on November 25 and to the UK the following day.)

Entertainment Weekly also procured a new trailer for the game, which you can find posted just past the jump. Of all the pieces of promotional material released for the game thus far, we feel like this one might be the most deserving of its "Epic" designation.

it's official, achievements/trophies have ruined me. I want to play this game - but I always get the itch whenever I see a Nintendo game and imagine "could of had some some sweet cheevos"

Maybe you'll get your wish, there's still some unknowns about the game and seeing as how Spector said they track just about anything you do and that there are collectibles in the game that are for "bragging rights", there might be some kind of system in place at least.

@FakeJamaican Replace achievements with HD graphics and I'm with you. And it's just not about resolution, it's also about lighting, textures and whatnot.

Plus yeah, Mickey Mouse...

Can't wait to pick up the brush.

Article says 11/20, should be 11/30.

I am confused the title says "November 30" and the article says "November 20". And Amazon which has had a release date up for a month says, "November 1"

Initially I was lukewarm about this, but as I've read more and more I've gradually come to be quite enthusiastic. I may very well get this before the end of the year.

Probably the UK trailer then. Since it releases there on 26th which is one day after the 25th that it releases in mainland Europe for some reason.

I was sold on the TWA Rocket and Space Mountain Concept Art stages.

I loved nintendo...until the wiimote came out...does that make me a bad person?

I mean, gamecube was my favorite console, nintendo gave it some of the best games of last gen without internet support (personal opinion, of course).

And then they announced the revolution and all i could think was 'wahhhgle wahhhgle'

And this game looks so damn awesome, it frustrates me that its a wii exclusive.

Nintendo's separation from the shithole that is dual analog set ups is what brought me back into gaming full time.

Looks like the other 2 console makers have finally found out they need to play catch up.

Next gen should be really interesting.

Game looks so good, I played a little at E3. Also I just picked up the sick tee from Hot Topic with the game informer cover art....so dope.

Hot Topic? Disney's definitely trying to sell this game if they're appealing to everyone including the "hardcore" type.

At 0:53 or so there's a brief shot of a Beetleworx (that's the term for the half-mechanical toons, yes?) Captain Hook with what looks like a thinner rocket launcher for one arm and a sword in the other. He shoots at Mickey from a barrel.

At 0:55 there's something big, like a bear if it were in Tron, but I don't recognize it.

Just pointing out some things we haven't seen yet from other trailers. Anybody else with better eyes catch some good stuff?

I wish all these compnays wopuld come together and make one piece of hardware.

damm i want some epic kirby and dk returns but what a waste of cash for a few games :-(

Hellz yeah. Epic platformers are the reason I bought a Wii. Day 1 purchase.

meh... the graphics look kinda crap (compared to other Wii titles)
it might be fun... but im still feeling a gimmick sense about this. iono.

man, you guys need to relax with this forum hate... clearly you're upset because mickey is stylin' on you, otherwise you wouldn't take the time in your day to write petty hate comments here... if you don't care for creative and imaginative games then so be it, but by the previews and raves the game is getting from EVERY critic out there, i'm gonna go ahead and say nintendo doesn't need your support = )

A refreshing new look for a familar face, Moral choices, interesting mechanic and art style. Its creative, new and well just interesting.

I dont get you haters, urrrr the graphics are shit I want HD blah blah. Just go back to your generic shooters with your hollow characters. Warren Spector has been in the business longer than most of you have been alive, Shit im still playing Deus-Ex and Theif. Graphics dont really matter, theyre only a small piece of the large pie that makes a truly good game.
And no, we dont only just have a Wii so im not desperate to justify this game.(we have all current gen and allot of previous gen consoles and PCs) but my point is you cant hate on the system, the Wii has its good points and bad one, they all do. Its what the deveopers do with it that counts. Im all for this game. Im sick of Generic shooters, and generic shooters in SPACE, featuring Space America.
