Two-thirds of the Joystiq Podcast is out on assignment in Japan this week, but that hasn't stopped them from bringing you dispatches straight from the 2010 Tokyo Game Show.
We haven't personally listened to the show (it's too painful for us left behind) but we'd assume the guys are discussing DMC, Dead Rising 2: Case West and some real talk about Tecmo. Seriously: It gets raw. We bet.
... Oh, and there's some light auto-tuning.

"light" autotuning is the best kind. Judging by the title of the theme music, I think Justin is jealous of Chris and Luddy

Justin got left behind?! Not cool. What is TGS without a healthy helping of Chris, Ludwig AND Justin? It's Neapolitan without the chocolate, that's what.

Dear Justin: please release a solo album STAT. I assume that Joystiq Publishing can get your back on this request, right?

God damn it, Justin, why, or rather, how, is it that you are so awesome? Truth be told, I sometimes go back to your cover of Since U Been Gone because it's so great.

My problems with Other M's story is that Nintendo of America didn't do their job localizing it properly. It's the 100% literal Japanese translation, word for word.

Really? (I haven't yet played it, but what I've seen of the dialogue has not given me hope.) That seems like the antithesis of Nintendo's localization philosophy - they're usually one of the best in the industry, precisely because they know that a good localization requires adaptation rather than just translation. If the localization is indeed that rigid, I can't help but wonder if Sakamoto had any involvement in keeping the translators from taking liberties with the script.

I wouldn't really know, but if you look at the Japanese voice work, they sound natural and flow together really well. Even some of the translation work for the French/Spanish audio tracks (In European countries) do not have some of the "bad" lines like 'Confession time' and 'it pierced my heart'. Even though the double speak exists in Japanese, it makes sense TO A JAPANESE audience. To me, this screams of NOA's screwup big time.

AMAZING Intro Justin! Although you're a 360 Fanboy at times, I LOVED it. Keep it up!

Glad the audio quality is up on this oneā¦those pax episodes (with awful phone electronic interference) were pretty hard to listen through.

@TheDarkWayne Also i dont think ludwig should be so hard (okay he wasnt really that hard on himself at all but still) about his criticisms of Other M. For one thing, Other M wasn't supposed to be a reboot or anything, so it's still the same character unlike new Dante, and secondly it wasn't just a complaint about the characters image but the character's err, character, the dialogue and all that stuff, and finally, he didnt say it totally ruined the game he just didnt like the way Samus was. In summary, get over it white hair guys

that intro is a certified moment in Joystiq history. If anyone is working on a Joystiq Podcast Episode Zero 2.0, this has to be in it.

I'm still listening to Justin's song a day later. It's been stuck in my head and there's no sign of it going away.

This is my first comment here and it was inspired by Justin's amazing performance of "Never Wanna Leave."
Thank you for that.
Oh and don't worry about missing TGS.. you are married so the best part of bring over there is taken right off the top. Unless you speak Japanese you would be better off just sticking to E3/Halo.
