I totally forgot this was coming out this year. I still haven't finished Fable 2, got about three quarters of the way through it and just kind of got tired of it.

I'm so getting this Collectors Edition.
I've had Fable:TLC and Fable 2 CE so no reason to stop now.
Didn't get Pub Games though, hopefully will get the WP7 tie in with Fable 3 when it becomes available.

I think that's how they are doing it now. If you noticed, they changed the designs of the logos on the covers as well. Maybe it is due to the upcoming release of Kinect, who knows? Anyway, Halo: Reach is also in a black box. At least the Collector's Edition is.

Also, after the announced the new controller design, why would anyone want the fable controller? That would be like getting excited about a game coming with a "limited edition" faceplate.

There are a few things that bother me about this video.
First, the damn game was put in upside down.
Second, dude seriously flings EVERY part of the box down onto the table like it was rat shit. I cringed when he tossed the book down to look at the cards.
Finally, and most importantly, the fact that I could give 2 shits about fable and still kinda want this because the case is so damn sexy.

As thrilled as I am for Fable 3 there is no way those extras in the Collector's Edition are worth $5, let alone an extra $20. The extra quest and the dog breed seem like better incentives, but still, I am just going to get the standard edition and use the extra $20 for another game. Can't wait for Fable 3 though.

Looks okay but I've come to expect more from Collector and Limited Editions these days. With a game like fable, I'd expect (and want) some kind of artwork or literature.
Halo:Reach Limited Edition has set the bar quite high for me now regarding these special purchases.
That said, it's very good to see so many collector editions out there. Makes buying a game more than just buying a game and makes buying new worthwhile - obviously, depending on the content.

I don't know, this collectors edition just seems empty to me. I know the dlc is there, but without some good old physical stuff (i'm not feeling the playing cards, though the coin is cool) i can't really decide if I'll be picking this up. My limited edition halo reach came with more than that, and so did my awesome fallout 3 collectors edition.

The case, coin and cards look really hot, but since Amazon is only offering the $20 credit on the normal edition, I'm going to get just that.
