That's funny I thought the playful music (and logo) hit the nail on the head with the proper emotional tone. It's endearing, fun, then it turns adventurous to dangerous....this sounds like a perfect way to do an emotional adventure (as we're lead to believe with what we know).
You're entitled to your opinion, you may have thought the game was going in a different direction. But it seems to be going down the path that I thought they displayed to us in the first trailer.

@Inspace2020 I just went back and rewatched this trailer: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-09-the-last/50352 . The music in this trailer implies epic adventure and a grand scale. It even implies a little isolation, as if they're the only two forces of good in a setting of evil and mystery. And there are moments of the boy and his "pet" enjoying life despite the circumstances.

i never thought i'd want to cuddle up to a chimera. this will be the game to push me to buy a ps3. and... not to rehash ol' ebert's comments.... but if he can't call this art (not by visuals alone , but by the way it elicits an emotional response from it's viewers, like me) then he must have no heart (or soul) at all.
