Whoa... Amazing. The possibilities look endless. I guess I can learn to deal with the return of the floaty platforming controls.

You can alter the floaty controls. I don't have the link to the article, but I"m 99% sure you have direct control on how precise your jumps are.

It's like the second to the last bullet point on this article. It seems kind of vague though. I could have sworn I saw a more concrete answer somewhere else. :/

Hmm. Not sure. But isn't this leaking the beta? Which isn't allowed and is in the terms you must read to be a part of it...

Thanks for the link.. that's really impressive stuff.

I am kinda wondering though if I should hold off on buying this. Last time I ended up buying LBP RIGHT before the GOTY version came out with all the free DLC.

The GOTY version didn't come out until like a year later. If you buy it near release you shouldn't have anything to worry about

janky controls were a staple of the first LBP but is still was a great game. I am expecting the controls in LBP2 to be similarly janky.

janky. neat word, never heard of it before. thanks

The floaty and slow moving pac-man already shows the limitation of the game mechanic (similar to first game) - even when it eats the power pellets it still move like a snail. Hope this could be modified through the creation toolset.

ok, so what? you basically have a layman's development kit in a game and all you can look at is its limitations. There's always somebody who finds something to complain about.

That's not slow down from hardware limitation, that's how the creator of the level made the game...

Maybe you should try the game's mechanics before you start spouting of stupid sh*t like a hater...

@Wiizer I was just posting my reaction after seeing that video. I even said I hope it could be modified through the game's toolset. The floaty movement was a huge concern for me (and many others) from the first game, if it can be changed in LBP2 then that's very awesome.

You don't have to say words like that. I want the game to be good too.

Really now Joystiq? Giving this guy credit for making these levels (WHICH HE DID NOT).
Only thing he did here was break the law.

The same thing happened to me with The Shoot Demo. Here's what I did.
My PSEye is placed at the base of my TV. If this is the same as yours, sit down and play the Shoot. I tried it standing up, and had the same experience as you. Sitting down, got a target on screen, worked like a charm.
Hope that helps.

Cheers, will give it a bash latter. seems ok alot better than the wii mote just can't wait for more hardcore gaming to appear and not just taked on like res 5.

start the party is actually pretty decent and yet to play sports champion , but will do in the course of the week give it a good test.

One thing that has annoyed me, i got mine From gamestation in uk, it was pricced at £44.99 but charged me £49.99 when i spoke to them about it i was told it was wrong price tag.

how convient considering they're online store sells it at that price.

greedy greedy, i think i have to stop using them at least with Game i get free points towards a freebie game :-)

joystiq, TheFinalBurst made none of these... When loading up the levels you can see the PSN names under the levels names. How I'm i suppose to trust your accuracy with articles when you can't see the obvious little things?
