AWE WHAT"S IN THE BOOOOXX WHAT's IN THE BOX!!!
On a side note as long as freeman doesn't say a word I'd be cool with a movie I think him speaking would ruin it for me.

Also, not bad.

Wasn't it, uh, the only actual line in the trailer?
But yeah, great stuff, gotta love Badass gruffish Gordon/Duke in the beginning. A part of me wishes more for a Half-Life fan movie more, though; the dream of seeing Xen in all its cinematic glory...

WOW. That was outstanding. It'd be great if an adaptation of this caliber ever happens.

All the people who keep making short 1 to 2 minute trailers of a Half-Life fan movie should team up and make a full blown half life movie. Sure, many use different art directions, but I'm sure they could whip up something :P

@Mach2 as long as they were all american groups.
I liked some of halo legends but the episodes that were overly immersed in japanese culture completely changed the tone and really felt out of place for me.

On one hand, I think a half life movie would be the most awesome thing in the world, but on the other, I know it wouldn't appeal to the majority of movie-goers, and for that reason would never get support from any major studio. No money = no full-length movie :(

If only there was some sort of update on Episode 3. Next month will make it three years since episode 2 was released. Maybe next year it may be released.

That looked awesome but I would be very picky about a half life movie.
the game was designed so that YOU feel like the character. The only way this could be done is if they do something like cloverleaf which in this case I dont think would work quite as well.
Only half life(2) movie I ever want to see is one with a story based around the 7 hour war.
that is all.

I really don't see why people keep wanting movies from games. To me it goes against the whole point of games themselves; interactivity and non-linearity which leads to a much more personalised and immersive feeling.
Rather than wanting a Halo movie, Half-life movie, Mass Effect movie etc etc, I'd rather developers just make their games be more immersive and have better stories.

What they need to focus on to make better stories is make better characters. Video games are littered with mary sues and the like. Half-Life is one of the few exceptions to this which is why people want a movie of it. Not many games have good believable characters who develop over the course of a story.

amazing attention to detail. It may be short but I bet it took hard work to make. It gets a 10/10 in my book

If they ever did make a half-life movie it would have to follow a rebel, not freeman. I mean it would be hard to make a compelling movie with a silent protagonist. Limit freeman to some cameo's and show us the life of a rebel in city 17 coinciding with the events of the game.

Love the trailer and the CG, but "I'm the freeman"? Hmm, somehow it falls a bit flat for me.
How about just "free man" or simply "Gordon"? Or "Anomalous Materials"? I don't know.

Nice! Though, it's a bit weird to see Gordon Freeman doing things from the 3rd person. They should just make a movie that's entirely from the first person with a silent protagonist. ;P
