Halo: Reach Avatar armor now on Xbox Marketplace

Having unlocked and equipped one of the various Halo: Reach bonus Avatar helmets, you may have found your plainclothes Xbox Live persona looking rather uncoordinated. You can now complete the Noble look by purchasing any of the five armor outfits for $5. So much for all those Reach credits!

Leave the videogame deals to sites like CAG, I don't understand why a journalist or blogger would freely advertise a game or store to begin with. I don't see a reason for it.

Wasn't this stuff released before Reach even came out? It was one of those daily bonuses for the week before countdown.

Also, I'm one of the people who would go for this if I already had the points in my account. I was going to get one but I have only 360 points, and since I can't add just 40, I will pass for now.

My free helmet looks just fine with the free and default outfit options I already have, thanks. My points will remain in my account awaiting a worthwhile game, not these useless avatar trinkets.

I bought the discounted XBL for $30 deal that they had last week that promised a free helmet, but never got it. What gives?

"Avatar Marketplace" is a joke. There's a lot of cool stuff I'd like to have if it was free, but just the fact that you have to pay real money for it makes it really lame. The worst part is that people actually buy this, so Microsoft will never have a reason to let go of it.

@Burger Queen Seriously, don't people have better things to buy with their real money than pretend clothing for their pretend person? I don't get what satisfaction can be gained from something that sits on the dashboard and really doesn't do ANYTHING. I just don't get it.

I'd rather spend my money on a nice pastry and cup of coffee.
