@thisredengine Same thought. They should give this shit away for free or for a quarter. Not even close to worth it.

I always hate it when people complain about joystiq posting news 10 hours after other outlets so it kinda pains me to do this, but these have been available for like, 2 weeks now

@TheDarkWayne

i dont understand why joystiq posted this to begin with

this is nothing more than MORE free advertisement for Halo Reach, Microsoft and the avatar market place.

one last this I know I'll probably get my comment deleted for speaking the truth but..

Leave the videogame deals to sites like CAG, I don't understand why a journalist or blogger would freely advertise a game or store to begin with. I don't see a reason for it.

@Solace

Perhaps by posting said article, Joystiq is trying to attract interest from certain companies to advertise on their blog. Seems kinda smart to me if that's the case.

Also, "Reach" in the title of any article on the internet right now = people checking it out reflexively.

@TheDarkWayne could be longer then 2 weeks.. I did look through, wondered where the helmets were... now I know they're avatar rewards.. my favourite is "Clear a campaign mission on Legendary without dying." for Carter's helmet..

Wasn't this stuff released before Reach even came out? It was one of those daily bonuses for the week before countdown.

Also, I'm one of the people who would go for this if I already had the points in my account. I was going to get one but I have only 360 points, and since I can't add just 40, I will pass for now.

"Avatar Marketplace" is a joke. There's a lot of cool stuff I'd like to have if it was free, but just the fact that you have to pay real money for it makes it really lame. The worst part is that people actually buy this, so Microsoft will never have a reason to let go of it.

@Burger Queen Seriously, don't people have better things to buy with their real money than pretend clothing for their pretend person? I don't get what satisfaction can be gained from something that sits on the dashboard and really doesn't do ANYTHING. I just don't get it.
