The PC version of Ubisoft's HAWX 2 won't be making its September 30 take-off date. As for when the PC port will launch, that's sorta, um ... not known. A Ubisoft representative tells Joystiq that it could "possibly be November," but the publisher isn't certain at this time. We're told a new date should be available "shortly."
HAWX 2 flew into retail earlier this month for consoles to middling reviews. Waiting is hard, but PC owners can always play the (superior?) 8-bit version of HAWX any time they want.

Just as well, who even still buys the PC versions of Ubisoft games since they started using DRM?

Well, yeah some of their Games aren't so bad on Steam. If this isn't murdered by them with oppressive DRM I'll be buying it. I mean really, Steam is enough DRM to deal with as it is.
Oh well, they'll continue to kill PC gaming and blame solely the pirates.

Well, the Steam page lists it as having the infamous DRM.

It's no suprise that PC sales are slipping if they keep making things available on consoles first. When GTA4 came out I had to suck up and get it on PS3, but I'd have waited if I'd known they were going to port it a year later.
Crazy online activation/constant connection DRM is turning the core PC audience away from multiplatform releases and doing nothing to fight piracy, and cheap indie downloable titles are stealing the thunder from 8-hour major releases. Meanwhile nobody is fighting the corner for the incredible amount of value you get from building your own rig.

And this looks like a game that is just right to play on a PC with a multiple monitor set up and a great flight stick.

That's right Ubisoft, dig yourself deeper.

well, guess it´s not easy to add all those DRM triggers, and i must say that ubisoft really likes to please the crackers, they are going to give them 2 weeks of fun with their 3,000 DRM triggers. Too bad they can´t use that time to fix bugs or make the game better, but at least they are thinking in their audience....ha.......

Why do they even bother releasing for the PC?
They knew they had to generate sales for RUSE on the PC so they take the DRM off and release along side the console. Games like Splinter Cell, HAWX and Assassin's Creed get release months late with the restrictive DRM.

because pc= money, even though capcom says otherwise. Do you have any idea how much it costs to keep special servers for the DRM checks just for the p.c. version??? and they need to keep them alive 24/7 do you think they´ll do it with no profit at all?? no mater what they say the p.c. pays the bills, that´s why they keep creating games for it. Too bad they only hurt the market with all this stupid things like DRM or releasing the game 30 months later......
