Those, wet and tender moments are far too passionate and moist to share with strangers on a blog.

What, no eBay? You could probably fund Gears of War 3 with the amount of money he could rake in with the sale.

While on one hand I like the idea of tallying up your games on the side of the system, no way in hell would I have marked mine up.

That IS a pretty rad sticker. Reminds me of the old Link comic books.

Good times, good times.

He probably did beat more than me.. I never owned one. My parents didn't think it would be good for me to be inside playing video games all the time. The irony is that now I test software for a living and got my start in this field from testing video games.

my mom didn't think it was good for me to own one because it would make me dumber or fail school or watever mom's worry about... the NES era passed and then around the Genisis/SNES era my dad bought me a SNES and told me to try to prove mom wrong lol... i did... or i tried.

ah yes, the great pleasure of old school gaming was hours spent on a game to beat it, see a scrolling end screen say "Thank You" and feeling oh so good.

you didn't need achievements or trophies. yet you felt on top of the world when you beat that game you spent hours on

But..But... nowadays you can prove to your friends that you beat the game!

@PR0F3TA I really don't get the backlash against trophies. Did you guys scoff at boy scouts when you were kids too, bragging that you learned to tie thirty different knots "just 'cause?"

Yeah but there was no way to prove it to your friends who weren't there to witness it. Unless they beat it also and you can discuss some part of the ending. Haha

Sorry Cliff, you may be better at having a stupid nickname, horrible highlights in your hair, bad tattoo, fun multiplayer, repetitive under ground locust levels, making money, and a fun job...but I have you beat on NES games!

@Im No Hero Ummmm....okaaaayyy.... *nervously offers cake and football helmet to weirdo and slowly backs up* Well if CliffyB. (God! How foolish that sounds!) Wants to sit around and compare notes, I'm game. But I fail to see the correlation between" pwning" every nes game and beating them. Of course you could merely be being facetious...good show old man!

60 games on the nes is impressive since most were side scroller platformer or shooters.

While i cant give any proof, but i did beat 78 nes games. Though i never marked the nes, my sis and dad would had killed me.

Now my question is, does beating Contra using the konami code counts??? if not, then the list comes down to 77, xD. Deal with me, i was 7 when i finally beat it co-op with a friend, but alone, needed the code and a continue, xD

Snes games, shame, but only beat 18, xDDDDD (i did beat more, but when i started using emulators)

I used to keep a notebook and record each game that I beat and it was over 100. Wish I still had it. My crowning glories were Ninja Gaiden's 1 and 2 (never beat 3). I completed 2 first and then made it an agenda to beat the first. I sure as hell never finished Ghosts and Goblins, though! Kudos for that one!

60 isn't actually all that many. I actually have digital photos of me with the finishing screens of 47 NES games. And i've been trying this for a little less then a year now. There's quite a number of NES games out there that you can bump off in a single sitting. But finishing Ghosts and Goblins in pretty impressive.

I just looked through GameFAQs to make a list, I count 90 that I've completed. Among them are Batman, Solar Jetman, Milon's Secret Castle, Contra (without the extra life code), Deadly Towers, Athena, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Gauntlet.

I only remember the failures. Like Top Gun (I couldn't land on the aircraft carrier) or TMNT (I never could figure out the top down level).

Without looking at a nes game list I easily came up with 77 and i know for a fact that i missed a lot. No g&g but milon's secret castle, mike tyson, battle toads, dragon warrior, deadly towers tmnt, 8 eyes, ninja gaiden 1-3, rygar are among the harder ones i remember.

I agree with every "beating the game meant something" comment on here. I remember spending HOURS on games and you'd finally beat the game and be on top of the world. I don't think my total is nearly 60 because my mom wouldn't let me get games and limited me to an hour a day. It took a long time to beat TMNT but the ENTIRE neighborhood was in the room when I did. That is probably my all-time fondest video game memory.

Some of my favorite games that I beat on the NES are:

The Legend of Zelda
The Guardian Legend (one of the most underrated games ever)
The Black Bass
Ducktales
Wizards and Warriors
TMNT
Karnov
Fester’s Quest
