The demo was enough for me, I thought the voice acting and presentation was really well done, but the gameplay just didn't hold up. Maybe if it wasn't $14.99 I would have considered it.

yeah, that'll buy me a month of WoW or almost half of Super Street Fighter 4

why I could pick up a fourth of a copy of Halo for that

@Tapejara There's a lot of game in there for 15 bucks though. The second half of the game changes things up a bit with a more difficult set of enemies than the standard lummoxes from the previous levels but be warned the game is mostly about collecting money (if you want to buy the extra weapons and skins or the stat boosters). This isnt some wild combo-centric hack/slash like Heavenly Sword or Ninja Gaiden where it pays to learn lots of moves. There is a nice pounce and flip move you can use on enemies and a slide kick (both of which have trophies attached to get you to try them) but it's more like Strider than those games. It's 2D for pete's sake you run side ways and kill what ever is in front of you and pull a few acrobatic moves and uncover secret areas hiding coins. 15 bucks is a stretch but they did as much as they could to make it worth that much without adding online multiplayer.

When I first read about Blade Kitten, I imagined a kitten with gigantic swords for claws chopping people apart. I was disappointed.

@husher Catgirl pr0n has been in existence for so long, this is practically a *reversal* of rule 35.

I watched Mitchell's In Brief and wasn't impressed; looks fairly generic. There's better ways to blow through 15 bucks.

I personally didn't find anything appealing in it. I checked out the demo but the game never really hit home with me.

@KiDPANDA I'd say go with one of the console versions. There are bugs in all the versions but the PC ones seem a bit more annoying.

Internet consensus is that catgirls are not furries.

@Sidology - It depends on the ratio of cat to human. If the character is a slightly feline version of an otherwise normal girl, it is fine. If it is clear that the cat portion of the equation is the main emphasis though...blegh.

@Sidology and this isn't a game so much as a cartoon found after Ben 10.

@Sidology Especially Anime style Catgirls. She's about as much a "furry" as Naruto.

@BananaBoat Ears and tail does not a furry make. Fur is pushing it.

Am I really the only person that got a headache from playing this game? The way the levels scrolled all choppy was making me dizzy. Maybe there was something wrong with my system, because not a single review has mentioned this. I couldn't play the demo anymore after about 5 minutes because I was going cross eyed.

Played the demo, thought the controls felt very loose and sloppy. Voices and characters were annoying. The only thing I liked was the graphics.

I tried the demo & it was rather meh. The graphics & writing didn't really draw me in, but the gameplay was ok.

If it ever goes on sale, I might consider it, but $15 feels a bit much.

The concept is interesting, but the gameplay seemed like a homemade LBP level that NEVER ended. NEVER.

I thought the demo was utter shit but I'd maybe give it a shot, just not for 15 bucks...

The game felt stiff and unnatural and I've seen more elegant combat in a crappy newgrounds flash game.

What I want to know is: where are all the people still playing crash commando? I picked that up recently and it's a blast but damn...there's usually like only ONE game being hosted. I want to buy the add-on pack but it's not really worth it, right?

Yeah I gave the demo a shot and the voice acting and cinematics are pretty nice the game play fell a bit short. I will give it that I was playing on a PC so the keyboard controls were a bit awkward to pick up

I wish it would have given you a bit more than the starter stage, say to a mini boss or something to get to know the game better.

I really want to love this game but eh.

I bought the game and I'm happy with my purchase. It's nothing amazing, but the game is cute/fun and if you go for all the collectibles it's more than worth your money. Also, catgirls rule. So yeah.

Thought the Steam-exclusive "gothique" costume was a pre-purchase incentive; otherwise, I may have resorted to my cheapskate tendencies and waited for a sale. Hopefully my digi-money serves them well in doing Episode 2...and maybe getting around the 30 FPS limitation of their physics engine; it blurs on my lappy, which can get your eyes aching soon enough.

Speaking of bizarre anime fetish games, I just discovered the copy of Bullet Witch I had on my shelf from back when I bought my 360. Odd thing is, I don't remember even buying it...

Anyway, I popped it in and started playing... and was greeted with an awful 3rd person shooter featuring a lead character that looks like a Dead or Alive goth reject brandishing a broom that fires bullets, who fights a creepy construction worker styled militia, which serves the walnut heads... aliens with giant pulsing brains on an otherwise humanoid body that feature psychokinetic powers. She also jumps around like something out of cirque de solei as she moves and fights, and can occasionally cast spells to make walls appear, throw cars and summon lightning from the sky.

Over all, the game is repetative, glitchy and more or less a chore to play rather than entertaining. It's sort of like the bastard child of X-blades and Earth Defense Force 2017, but makes those titles seem great AAA titles by comparison. The game doesn't even offer any easy achievements, you have to play the whole thing just to get anything out of it.

Are games like these the norm for the japanese gamers' market, or are game companies simply localizing such poor quality titles because they don't know better? Or are these simply something cheap enough to purchase overseas, then brought back to the US to slap on a $30+ price tag for niche market buyers?

"stellar controls"

Really? I think it's too clumsy. Kitten looks like she's floating all the time, and the animations are just dull.
